The staff were fantastic. The valet and desk clerks were especially helpful. It was comfortable and clean. It was close to many convenient and tasty spots to eat. Olympia Provisions and The Memory Den make for a fantastic Sunday morning.

I loved this place. Unique details and decor including original wood flooring and solid wood doors. Quirky like Portland but not rundown or sketchy like some reviews I saw suggested. Quiet and low-key on a Thursday night. Would definitely stay again should I need to be in that area of town.

I only needed a place to sleep for a few days while visiting my daughter but this place turned out to be delightful! Very clean. It looks like some recent remodeling. Staff are very pleasant and helpful. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit. Also, excellent coffee in the lobby every morning.

The staff (EVERYONE we encountered) was outstanding. They answered all questions with a smile, and offered suggestions. We thought there was a water leak in room, and they immediately sent someone to check. We extended our stay, such a pleasant stay.

Stayed to see a show at Revolution Hall. Easy walk there, good food options nearby, cute onsite bar, friendly staff, clean comfy room. We’re happy we stayed and will definitely stay again for other concerts in the future.

Staying at the Grand Stark was like a fun getaway at someone's sparkling clean home, decorated with fascinating art and touches everywhere. And the staff could not have been more helpful in making our stay special. As my companion took a nap, I treated myself to a cocktail at the hotel's Little Bitter Bar which features drinks with an Italian flair. The bartender designed a delicious drink with Italian liquer, all while giving me excellent suggestions for dinner and sightseeing nearby. I am definitely coming back soon for another mini-vacation in the heart of Portland.
