My experience when staying here is very satisfying and peaceful. The staff is very kind and helpful. They respond to all your queries and texts during your stay.

Since our previous accommodations were awful, we made our last-minute reservation. Although we didn't consume any water from the room after checking out, this is generally a nice location to stay. Carmelbythesea's stores and restaurants are a short stroll away. Just be aware of off-street parking. There is no hotel parking space. Our room was tidy and pleasant, only that the windows had screens to let in the fresh air. Excellent texting from the hotel advising us to request breakfast as it was delivered to the room every morning. I wish our room had a dresser for our clothes and at least some toiletries shelves in the bathroom, but overall it was a lovely location. There were plenty of seats to relax in a courtyard common area, as well as a fire pit place.

The hotel room and common areas were new and fresh than any other hotel we have stayed in Carmel. The staff was very engaging and welcoming. Continental breakfast was delivered to the room was a bonus! Will definitely stay here on my next visit to Carmel

Despite the extremely cold October weather, it was tough to enjoy the sitting area because it couldnt warm up inside without a fire and a space heater. It was hard to stay warm inside because so many guests tried to keep warm in their coats. When the cold comes, the hotel makes it difficult to appreciate its atmosphere. After seeing this comment, I hope they will be willing to close the front door for everyones comfort! The room was pleasant, though light came out of the courtyard even when the shutters were closed. Appreciate the complimentary breakfast and the nice amenities the hotel included in the room. This is a lovely hotel with accommodating staff. They offer wines and cheese from 56 am in a beautiful sitting area. They do close it when asked, but only for a few minutes because it has a rule that the front door must remain open until 7 am despite the very cold weather in October. It was difficult to enjoy the sitting space since even with a fire and a space heater it couldnt warm up inside. Many inside tried to keep warm by wearing coats inside. My advice is to remove the strict rules that make visitors uncomfortably cold. In the cold, its difficult to enjoy the hotels attempt to create the atmosphere. Hotel location, staff and cleanliness deserve 5 stars. The room was small but fine for us, the bathroom was updated, nice and had hooks for towels. But we had a 3 star review due to a few issues. I would give 3. 5 stars if that was an option, but I can't see how to do that. With that being said, I've traveled the world and may be a little picky here, but these are the downsides we had, and I wanted to share them with you if these things are important to you 1. No parking and it's hardly impossible to find parking nearby. I understand it, but still a challenge. 2. Breakfast! For the room price, I would expect much higher quality options. We were given 2 roomtemperature hard boiled eggs in a shell, 2 super sweet vanilla yogurts with super sweet honey drizzle and sweet granola sprinkles, and 2 small sweet again pastries that looked pretty good. The same on both days. Also, coffee options are plain or decaf, with no options on creamery oj. We were hoping for something a little healthier or alternative, and the eggs were just a little strange toast, cheese, meat and vegetables to go with it. Even if they didn't have a fridge in the room, they brought one when we asked. Also no free water bottles. I think the 6
