Schönes neueres Hotel in einem alten Opernhaus in der South Bronx. Zimmer groß und ausreichend Platz mit Ablagemöglichkeiten. Tägliche Reinigung und Betten machen war inklusive. Kleines amerikanisches Frühstück mit Bagel und Co. ebenfalls im Preis inbegriffen. Wer es unbedingt braucht, gibt auch ein kleines Fitnesstudio im Hotel. Haben dort in einem 4-Bettzimmer 5 Nächte zur WM verbracht. Gibt auf dem Flur weitere saubere Toiletten, bei einem Mehrbettzimmer nicht von Nachteil. U-Bahn Richtung Manhattan in 3 Minuten erreichbar (Linie 2 und 5). Fahrzeit bis Zentrum ca. 20 Minuten. Weitere Linien ebenfalls fußläufig erreichbar. Es bleibt am Ende halt die South Bronx. In der Straße vom Hotel sehr viele komische Gestalten, also Drohenabhängige. Aber lassen einen in Ruhe, haben uns nicht bedroht gefühlt. Für Familien mit Kindern würde ich es aber nicht empfehlen. Ansonsten 1A - insbesondere Preis/Leistung unschlagbar.

Opera hotel is definitely a hidden gem in the heart of the south bronx. Close to all transportation, shopping and food. The hotel staff and accommodations were wonderful. They have limited parking and a smoking area outside with a cute bench to relax on. They have some of the best coffee offered 24/7. Spoiler alert: Don't be alarmed by the locals (homeless, addicts, unemployed and street vendors) that hang out in the area, they never bothered us and we went in and out all times of the day and night without any issues. I would absolutely recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the city and want to see more than the tourist spots. This location gives the real ny experience.

Hotel inside was awesome the neighborhood it's in wasnt great but what you should expect staying in south bronx. Parking is not great unless you find the few parking spots they have in the back of the hotel. I was with my mom which she has a handicap ♿️ and there was one spot left. Besides that staff were helpful and nice ! Would come back if I visit NYC

EXCELLENT hotel with real KING beds. Yes, the short walk to the subway station is...colorful, but not dangerous or threatening. Me and my wife came back from Manhattan by subway 6 nights in a row around 2 am without any problems. If you're affraid of your shadow, you can take a uber, but you will be missing out the feel of the city. Again, the hotel was PERFECT !

I come to New York around this time annually to go to the Hip Hop Ed Conference. I choose to stay at Opera House instead of a closer hotel because of the beauty of the hotel and how nice the staff is. Zue is usually who I'm greeted by year after year and she is kind and knowledgeable. Give that lady a raise! I'll be back next year!

We were greeted at around 5:00 PM. The staff that was on shift was kind, receiving and very accommodating. We reserved two rooms and they were both exceptionally clean. The beds are comfy, the A/C works great and the water runs hot instantly. We also had the complimentary breakfast and even though it's a small selection, everything was fresh. We would greatly recommend this place and will most likely be back!!

The area is not great but the hotel was! Stephanie at the front desk was AMAZING-so helpful and kind. The rooms were clean, with daily housekeeping (which seems rare post Covid) There is a subway stop just a couple blocks down so getting around was convenient. The continental breakfast was overall basic, but good coffee. Even afternoon cookies. If I had a need to stay on the area again, would definitely stay again

Hidden gem. Super clean and cute hotel with really nice staff. Super simple breakfast but it is included in stay which is nice. If you are staying in the Bronx I would highly recommend this place. Only about 1.4 miles to Yankees stadium.
