The room was spacious, spotless, and comfy. The breakfast service is the only thing that needs improvement. There are many servers in the room, which is quite slow.

The price for breakfast was the only real issue, though. Despite being slightly out of several important tourist routes, the hotel is in a fantastic city center spot. As you'd anticipate from this type of hotel, the public spaces are as beautiful and well-kept as you would anticipate. Check-in and service were both quick and professional in general. Although a bit on the small side, our room was clean and the touch services were excellent. Although somewhat chilly at times, the indoor pool is a major selling point and is enjoyable to use. There are many good alternatives around the city, but this may be San Francisco, but $40 per person for a buffet was a bit pricey. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, but it was in line with what you would anticipate from a hotel like this.

This is a very nice classic hotel in the heart of San Fransisco. They charge a lot more compared to the Fairmount and Mark hopkins. The Lobby is nice, the pied piper bar is nice, the elite recognition is great, and the rooms are spacious by city standards. The prices are generally pretty good compared to the Fairmount or Mark hopkins. The hotel also has a huge indoor pool, which is almost unheard of in San Fransisco. Cons, they don't have regular lunch or dinner hours in the main dining room or room service. I believe they won't soon be available due to the lack of business travel. They also do the ridiculous thing whereby if you get complimentary breakfast through elite status, you must pay an additional upgrade fee to access certain parts of the buffet. While I understand that this is entirely legal under Marriott terms, I just can't imagine them generating a lot of revenue by forcing people to pay an extra $ 7 for hot meals.

We chose to spend the night at the palace because we were visiting San Francisco for a wedding party. I don't typically book in large hotels for personal travel, but I'm glad I did this time. Not sure if it's because I am a Marriott Gold member, but we were upgraded to a spotless deluxe room. Although the bathroom was designed for a very low water consumption, the shower still had plenty of pressure and the toilet worked well. The decor was contemporary and not at all antiquated, as I would have expected for an old hotel. The hotel personnel was exceptionally friendly, including the front desk, concierge, and other employees throughout the hotel. For instance, when my wife and I were taking a selfie in the gorgeous garden courtyard, an employee spontaneously dropped what he was working on and asked if we wanted him to take our picture. He took our jackets and bag, and he took 3 photos! The indoor pool is fantastic. With floortoce windows and a great view of the city and lots of natural light, it is a great temperature and is ideal for lap swimming or recreation. There was a very kind attendant at the pool on our second visit, who was talking to one of the families and bringing out pool toys for them. She brought out bottled water and Fudgesicles for us, which was well worth the price. Its very expensive, but

I have never stayed at another hotel, esp. Elise tray. When I visit this place, I will stay at another hotel. Ive read other reviews and I couldnt help but wonder if they had stayed in a different hotel. At the hotels front door is superb historic grandeur with 21 in convenience. As the rules for breakfast slowly disappear, it was difficult to book it because I have always felt that way. I am confident that on the following visit, Ill have the opportunity to experience my favorite time of the day, the breakfast early breakfast. I must admit that although I was in my room, the breakfast was excellent and the service was exceptional. Being a silver convoy member, I was upgraded to a deluxe room, which was the typical hotel of this caliber. The director has instilled in his staff the perfect mix of professional service and a sense of care. But there is a personable and friendly interaction, which is a perfect blend. I should mention the outstanding front desk managermike sullivan, who responded to my concerns and resolved the issue. Does this give you the impression that each loyal visitor is appreciated? I dont believe I would have received the same response if I wasnt a member of the convoy. Thank you for the palace.
