I have been staying at the Phoenix lodge for a few years and will continue to do so as long as it is open. The lodge is in a great location for getting to and from the numerous attractions in the surrounding area around, just a 3-minute drive from downtown Phoenix and a short walk from sous creek. The room and surrounding area are very well-kept and extremely welcoming. The hosts, Maureen and Jen, are so friendly and welcoming that I wanted to stop by every day to say hello! Cant wait to come back!.

We plan to return, but we are not disappointed. Due to the massive January 2021 nor'easter that impacted our threehour drive home, my fiance and I had to reserve a very lastminute lodging in the first place. When there was a major snowstorm, we were essentially stuck in the Catalina, and the Phoenix Lodge saved us! We were incredibly glad the proprietors, Jennifer and Maureen, made an effort to welcome us with genuine kindness! They are among the nicest and nicest business owners weve met! We reserved a room for one night, and we were quite content with our stay! The cabin, which is rusty but very cozy and organized, had everything it required and functioned well. The wifi in the room was warm, fast, and reliable, as well as a complimentary breakfast. They even sent my jacket back that I left in the room after checking out, they even send it back! They have a variety of accommodations that also seem terrific!

We rented cabins 1, 2, and 3 for 5 nights in late April for a wedding in the area. There was no better location, room, or host for our first trip to the Catskills. Jen and Maureen were extremely warm and welcoming every morning at breakfast and every night when we stopped by for a movie or a freshly made cookie. Our cabins were very clean and the gas stove kept us cozy on the chilly nights. We cherished having our own kitchen and had many family picnics and lookouts in the open space outside our cabins. Honestly, everything was perfect. The cutest cabin we could imagine in a beautiful mountain setting near several local restaurants and fantastic hiking trails. We hope to return soon!.

The rooms are clean and have some amenities that you would need, such as coffee and a certain togo breakfast. The air conditioning is very recommended. The hotel is named Catkill Lodge and the decor is from the 1940 s.
