Recently, we had the misfortune of staying at the ropeway inn and suites in boulder, colorado for three nights. Although this ropeway is on the lower tier of choice hotels, it once served as the boulder broker inn, a place that catered to the University of Colorado community and served a decent lunch buffet. If you checked boxes, it had a functioning refrigerator, to, and coffee maker in the room. The beds were adequate, and the sheets were clean. The shower and toilet worked. Other boxes remain unchecked. The internet in the room was spotty, and some people got it and others didn't. The clerk showed us on his laptop that the internet was working via a call to the desk for assistance. However, there was no offer of assistance to get the internet to work on our devices. When we checked in, the clerk was friendly, but their subsequent substitutes appeared indifferent, useless, and inhospitable. On any day we remained, there was no continental breakfast of any kind. We finally had enough and headed out early to another hotel. At the desk, we were unable to obtain a copy of our folio. We had to call choice customer service to retrieve the points we had given out for the remaining days because a promise to email it to us went unfulfilled. Even at a lower level,

I struggled between a 2 and a 3 rating. Look, we knew we were getting a discount hotel and that it was a little dated. Good, bad, and ugly good bed that was comfortable and clean. Great air conditioning, fridge, microwave, coffee maker. Lots of clean towels, water pressure, and toiletries. Breakfast was pretty good. Front desk responsive and flexible for issues brought to their attention. close to the university. It's kind of historical. Poor this place is desperate for renovation. It smells old and the hallways smells like the aftermath of a frat party. Many things didn't work or needed to be fixed. It was the weekend of student check-in. Traffic was terrible, and students drive fast! ugly my husband checked in the day before and said the bathroom had a strong urine scent. Housekeeping was very responsive and did a deep clean and put up a new shower curtain, which solved the problem. So, we got a good night's sleep, showers and breakfast. off we go.
