The place was clean, parking was right in front of my door, bed was comfortable, thought the unit was nice. I'm only there for 8 hours, just to sleep before the final leg of a 1500 mile trip. Will stay again. The only issue is that the microwave door goes into lockdown after cooking. The only way to get the door open after cooking is to pull the plug.

I travel frequently for work, so I’ve stayed in my fair share of hotels and I have to say, the Royal Inn Motel in Fredericksburg, VA really impressed me. The rooms were some of the cleanest I’ve ever stayed in, which immediately made the experience comfortable and stress-free. Cleanliness is extremely important to me, and I’m very picky about where I stay, so this really stood out. The hotel staff was also very polite and accommodating, which made the stay even better. It’s always appreciated when the service matches the quality of the room. I’ll be honest, don’t let the outside appearance deter you from staying here. I’ve driven past it several times and likely wouldn’t have given it a second thought if I hadn’t read the positive reviews online. I’m so glad I gave it a chance. I know some past reviews mentioned concerns about noise in Room 23 and the curtains not blocking outside light, but that wasn’t my experience at all. While you can hear a bit of traffic, it was very minimal and didn’t affect my stay or sleep in any way. As for the lighting, the room stayed nice and dim, and I had no issues with light coming in through the curtains. Overall, I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it, especially if cleanliness and comfort are priorities for you!

Room was clean, parking right in front of the door. Right off the highway with plenty of other conveniences available nearby. The owner was very polite and friendly. It was the right choice for us to get some rest and shelter while passing through.

Attending annual competition from out of town. We prefer to come the night before in lieu of 2 hour drive at crack of dawn before competing. Want clean sleep at great price and thats what we got! We've had problems with roach infestations at other motels in this area and dread coming. Happy to have found this place! Also found a great little local diner for a hearty breakfast before the meet.

Great no-frills motel on Rt 1 just off 95. Friendly staff, clean room, fairly quiet for the location. There are plenty of options for food and easy access to downtown Fredericksburg. This was a fine place to rest my head for the weekend.

Yup. I ended up staying here again for about a week while I was looking for an apartment in the area. Very pleasant stay. I was really impressed when I saw one of the owners out in front of the building spraying bug spray down near the walkway in front of the doors, mainly because I had NEVER seen a motel owner giving that kind of care to their property. Most of them are happy to do the bare minimum. Heck, roaches and bed bugs are almost the norm at these kinds of places. I didn't see any bugs at all between my two stays here. Toilet, shower, bed, microwave, and fridge all looked very clean. Owners were nice. Rooms were reasonably quiet for being right off the highway. Price was good/great. And there were plenty of places to eat nearby. What more could you ask for in a motel? Highly pleased with my stay here.
