This Motel is under new management. It is obvious that the prior owners let the motel go. The new management is working hard to renovate and clean up the motel, the rooms and the pool. The motel workers seemed very hard working. I had an issue with my suitcase and MH one of the motel clerks helped me immensely. He was thoughtful and helpful. We enjoyed our stay there and in Weed very much.

I have stayed here twice before when it was still the motel 6. The people who have bought it and changed it to the Shasta Vista Inn, have done multiple upgrades including adding air conditioning which the motel did not have in their rooms. Friendly staff, helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

New management clearly cares about the property and the renovated rooms are pretty nice. The staff were very friendly, and the room was very clean! There were some nice touches like complimentary toothbrushes, etc. I recommend giving it a try if you’re looking for a budget stay in the area!

Inexpensive and worked with me to allow me to check in early. They are renovating so it's not pristine but walkways and room was clean and comfortable.

Way better than when it was a chain which didn’t leave the light on anymore. New owners are upgrading property one section at a time, so limited rooms, but progressing, including re-opening pool any day now!

The new management is making every effort to improve the facility. A nice surprising touch was the toothbrush & comb offering. Our room also had a microwave & frig, which were not yet listed as room amenities in the hotel search app.

The pool was closed and there was no spa I could find. The floor boards had gaps in the bathroom. There were earwigs on my bed and when I got a coffee at Starbucks one of them crawled out of the air hole. There was also on at the bottom of my coffee. The whole complex seemed to be in the process of renovation. It was pretty sketchy.

There was dried dog pee on the floor. Our window was cracked with a hole the size of my pinky like a bullet hole. Furniture was falling apart/vaneer peeling off/ broken dresser. The rooms were being “renovated” and we were the ONLY guest and they put us in the broken room! The shower was like an RV shower and sprayed water every where on the floor. They gave us 1 towel for 2 people. The worker tried to hit on me while I was in my car waiting for my husband who was checking in. He stood outside the window and stared and waved at me until he got my attention. Then both employees left together after checking us in. I was so uncomfortable. Bed was springy and hard and noisy. The pool was gross and empty and closed for “repairs”and there was construction items and safety hazards everywhere. Tons of stuff all over the place. (There was no warning ahead of time it was being renovated ect) My husband said NEVER AGAIN. Positives: The ac unit was brand new. No hold Cheapest hotel in town.

Property is under construction!! Building was surrounded by bed frames, mattresses, old toilets outside of buildings!! Swimming pool was NOT filled either! I booked room based on pictures on their website!! Misleading and false advertising!! They don’t advertise any of this! I will be disputing charges!!

Room was clean and friendly staff... however found huge number of mouse droppings over multiple of the tables in the room overnight. This is potentially very dangerous due to disease and needs to be fixed immediately.

I had a terrifying experience at this place! It all started when the MAN who cleaned the rooms knocked on my door first thing in the morning asking if I wanted housekeeping service. There was no sign indicating that I needed cleaning service, so he should not have been knocking on the door of a woman staying ALONE. On the last day, he knocked on my door between 8 and 9 a.m. asking if I was checking out, even though check-out was only at 11 a.m. Why the hell was he doing that? I opened the door with the safety latch on, leaving only a small gap open, and he stretched his neck trying to look inside my room (I believe he wanted to see if I was really alone). I panicked and started packing my things to leave. Then he came back to my room and put his head up to the window trying to see inside! I started screaming and got help from the guy working at the front desk, who was actually very polite. But the housekeeper is a disgusting creep and pervert who should NEVER be working cleaning hotel rooms. Women traveling alone: DO NOT stay at this place! I should have called the police on this man, but all I wanted was to leave. Thank God I had friends staying at the same hotel and they helped me. The man only respected the presence of my MALE friend — before he arrived, he kept staring at me. This creep should never be working at this place!!!
