First, our room was spotless. Check-in and out was fast and efficient. The room was large with 2 queen beds, a table and 2 chairs, TV, fridge, etc.. The shower water pressure was perfect and the towels were not small flimsy some budget motels use. They were fluffy and bright white. The owners live at the motel and take great pride in their property. It reminded me of the motels my family would stay at when I was a kid on road trips. Great memories.

Overall we had a great experience here. They went above and beyond to accommodate us as we arrived late. This made a huge difference to us as we had driven from Dallas that day and were very tired. The rooms were very cozy and clean. They were kind and accommodating of our cats as well. We will definitely stay here again the next time we are in Cortez. Thanks again!

An awesome place to stay. The place is a little dated but don’t judge the book by its cover. I would rather give up the amenities of the chain hotels for this establishment. Water is nice and hot. AC and heater is quiet and works excellent.

Nice place to stay. It’s a bit dated but it’s very comfortable. Great value for the money and most of all the water is hot and the HVAC works great and is very quiet.

The lady at the front desk was very nice and very informative about things in the area. This is a small privately run motel. It is very obvious that the proprietors care about their customer service and making sure that their clientele are comfortable. I would definitely stay here again, it's affordable, it's cozy, it's convenient to food and shopping, and the management is exceptional.

This is what you always wish an independently owned motel was still like. Staying here made the road trip feel like the golden days long gone when you could feel the personal touch of pulling up to a motel at the end of a day driving and feel like you had arrived at a friend’s place. We were traveling with a well behaved cat and called ahead to make sure it was ok. Not only was it ok, but they happened to be fostering a litter of kittens and offered to let us cuddle them when we arrived! I’d stay here again any time and would recommend it to anyone looking for a cute place to stay at a fair price. Nothing fancy, just good folks who care.

Everything was great. If I made any suggestion on improvements, it would be to add a hair dryer in the bathroom. Super clean. I will say this is a cool retro vibe place with a county rustic and and vintage feel. If you are the type that needs a corporate glam place, this isn't for you. If you are looking for homey, friendly folks that care a lot about your stay, and you love the outdoors, this is it! Owners operate this establishment. They also own more land behind the motel that is a fabulous scenic hike about! Loved it all! (except the lack of a hair dryer.)

If you like a place with some soul & a personal touch, this is for you. It's a vintage building but it's been updated. Our room had a fine view of Sleeping Ute Mountain (I think some don't, not sure).
