I had a very enjoyable stay at Sleepy Bear last week. I was there for a week long motorcycle tour of the area. I was able to park my bike outside my ground floor room. The room was spacious and clean. HVAC worked fine and the beds are comfortable. Large, newer, flat screen tv was nice. After a long day of riding I was able to sit on the back porch of the room and relax to a gentle rolling stream right behind the motel. The folks that run and staff Sleepy Bear are all 100% kind and helpful. Do not miss the free, made to order breakfast on Saturday. I delayed the start of my return trip so I could enjoy that breakfast and I'm glad I did. One other thing, although it was too cold to enjoy, the pool was large and was very well kept.

I love this motel. It had a very 1989 small town feel to it but definitely modern amenities. The breakfast is very good, better than a 4 star hotel. I made a mistake on my booking and the host was very kind in working with me. We will definitely stay here again.

The Sleepy Bear was a wonderful surprise. We booked to save money and because of the great reviews. It did not disappoint. Everything was spotless: linens crisp, towels fresh, parking lot without a scrap of trash. The AC worked great, the shower was hot, water pressure surprisingly good, and a cooked to order breakfast. Would happily stay again.

A simple clean motel. I believe we got more than we payed for! The breakfast was made to order and delicious. The room was a simple no frills but the king size bed was very comfortable and the TV was bigger than the room 😁 We booked the room so we could be close enough to the creek to hear and that too did not disappoint. The only thing I wish the room had was a small bistro table. The place is away from the busy town making it very quiet to sit on the porch. An added plus we were unaware of is the free shuttle to gatlinburg down town was right at our hotel and free. We had a wonderful stay. Thank you!

older style motel. rooms were very clean and some updates. Mike was extremely helpful and we enjoyed our stay as we were far enough from the busy town but trolley stop across the street made it convenient so no need to worry about parking. Breakfast is only on weekends but pancake house across the street. would stay there again.
