The lights outside my room and the one across from me didn’t work, so it was pitch black outside our rooms. The hot tub had so much chlorine that the fumes burned my eyes, and the jets didn’t work properly. Otherwise, the staff was awesome and the room was very nice and clean.

Our recent stay at Sonesta ES Suites for my niece’s Northern Arizona University graduation felt like the hospitality equivalent of finding an extra fry at the bottom of the bag — unexpectedly delightful. From the moment we arrived, parking was easy and conveniently close, which already earned bonus points in my travel-weary book. Robert and Chris, the General Manager, made check-in feel less like a transaction and more like being welcomed into a sitcom where everyone is charming and oddly invested in your dinner plans. Chris especially was an absolute hoot, enthusiastically chatting with us about the restaurant we’d chosen for our family celebration. Our room was spacious, blissfully quiet, and equipped with two critical vacation necessities: gloriously frosty AC and a bed so comfortable it nearly caused us to miss checkout altogether. The bathroom also had enough drawers and cubbies to contain my ever-expanding collection of cosmetics and mysterious “just in case” toiletries. EvenThe suite was spacious, quiet, and thoughtfully designed — especially the bathroom storage, which this cosmetics-loving traveler greatly appreciated. Most importantly, the bed was incredibly comfortable and the AC delivered wonderfully chilly “arctic sleep” temperatures, making for a fantastic night’s rest. Even with graduation crowds in town, the rate felt very reasonable for the level of comfort and service we received. We’d happily stay at Sonesta ES Suites again the next time we’re in Flagstaff!

Staff was very friendly. Our room was spotless and the 2 bedroom suite is a huge advantage for traveling with a family. The only downside was our room was on the 2nd floor and no elevator, but this was not a deal breaker for us.

The room was a spacious and clean suite, with clean white linens and a cute kitchenette. It was very restful, I love that it was away from the main road, near a golf course and a fun hiking trail. I was happy to enjoy a walk with our dog along the trail. The breakfast 😋 was filling. Eggs, sausage, pancakes, muffins, baked goods, oatmeal and cereals. Fresh coffee and tea options. I will be returning here for sure on our way back from our road trip. I appreciate that it was not stuck in a big hotel lot like I saw some of the other hotels. Great feel and I had a wonderful experience. Highly recommend, I don’t understand the negative reviews. Glad I ignored them and booked! Hope this helps other travelers!
