The room looked better than I expected. It was very spacious for me and my partner. The room was clean and had everything I needed: iron and board, a refrigerator, blackout curtains, etc.

The art deco design of the hotel is lovely and the location is perfect for exploring the Loop. But the staff are the reason we will come back! After we checked out we realized that we left food in the refridgerator - leftovers from a restaurant that makes the most amazing mole. I called the hotel and thankfully our room had not yet been cleaned, so the staff kindly held our food at reception until we could come back to pick it up. The also graciously did not make fun of us for being that obsessed with mole.

The hotel is very nice and keeps true to the art deco theme throughout the lobby, bar and rooms. The staff was very nice and helpful. The hotel room was not the biggest, but it was very well equipped with a microwave and refrigerator, as well as a large television.

This was a wonderful place to stay for a night in Chicago! We got an excellent lunch recommendation from the bellhop, great communication from the front desk, some nice small perks (10% discount at the bar/restaurant, two complimentary bottles of water in the room, etc.). Leaving our bags so we didn't have to lug them around town with us for some daytime sight seeing before check in was easy. All staff on site were helpful and friendly! Excellent location at the heart of downtown and in the theatre district. So many great walkable restaurants, shows, etc.

This property and staff was amazing! We planned a small event for my daughters marriage proposal in one of their lounges as well as stayed in one of the rooms. The staff was so appreciatively attentive to our needs to pull off the proposal as a secret. My family felt they went above and beyond when they attended to us during our small event. Because of a plane delay we were scrambling to get things set up, they recognized that and stepped right in to help wherever they could including bringing much needed refreshing glasses of water since we were hot, scrambling and parched. Three families including my husband and I stayed at the Allegro. This hotel is iconic, historic and absolutely beautiful. Our room offered everything we needed: was clean and the mattress was great. All staff from doorman to check-out was very kind and helpful, including the Allegro Lounge with great service and drinks. If we have opportunity to stay in Chicago again we will be staying here.

Wonderful staff. Very helpful and courteous. Excellent location - close to theater shows, Riverwalk and shopping downtown and lake shore. Felt very safe walking at night and the security on site. The waitstaff and food were excellent - arrived one night at 9:45 pm and within five minutes had a delicious meal! Would definitely stay there again! Bed was super comfy!!!

The hotel is beautiful and in a great location. We were close to everything. The rim was smaller (as most city rooms are) but good enough for us two. The a/c worked well on an ungodly hot July weekend. Staff was friendly.

Beautifully appointed art deco aesthetic and ambiance! ADA accessable room was spacious. AC was good & cold, easily adjusted. Heavenly bed and pillows, perfect shower temperature and pressure! Loved the full size toiletries and their branding! Iron and blow dryer worked great. Housekeeping missed us on our last full day but we only had to ask if we needed anything else. Appreciated being able to check in early for a small fee. The hotel's coffee service and Afternoon tea were a delight AND delicious! Fabulous touch! Love the scone collaboration with Goddess and the Baker!!!! We truly hope to return in the near future! Top notch customer service!! And again and again! I didn't even notice the train going by!!!
