What a gem! Everything in Charlottesville was so expensive so we widened our search and I am so glad that we did! The Crossroads Inn was amazing. Our room was so cute! We signed up for the dinner with wine pairings from the local vineyard, which was delicious. The breakfasts were so good - super fresh. And they thought of everything - feed to give to the chickens, water and snacks, and chocolates too. The staff was so friendly. If you have the opportunity to stay here, do it! You won't regret it.

Great staff, friendly and informative. Being from the city, the rustic historical experience was exactly what we were looking for. Cozy and welcoming.

Beautiful suite (Roosevelt). Very comfortable bed and wonderful bedlinen. Great facilities such as fridge with waters, wine glasses, ice bucket. In dining room access to coffee, different teas. Matt, the manager was very friendly and informative. We arrived much earlier than scheduled check in but Matt was very accommodating and let us into our room & informed the staff at the neighbouring vineyard we were en route for our late lunch. All in all a wonderful stay and we would gladly stay again.

My husband and I will always remember our trip at Crossroad Inn fondly. It felt a bit strange at first, renovating an old American house into a guesthouse, but it was a truly special experience for us. It felt similar to the old residential environment we saw at the Thomas Jefferson Memorial in Monticello, and it will remain a new memory, unlike any we've experienced on our previous trips to the US. The early morning jog to the winery will also be a fond memory.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Crossroads Inn. Our room was spacious and comfortable. There were drinking glasses, wine glasses and ceramic cups and saucers for a wide selection of Nespresso coffees. The innkeepers also provide a bag of food if you would like to feed their chickens! Breakfast was wonderful with local eggs, meats and fruit. We had a sumptuous four course dinner prepared by the Inn's chef with wines from the vineyard next door paired with each course. The innkeepers are gracious and accessible. We felt very comfortable using the common areas of the Inn and had access to coffee and specialty teas throughout the day. Would definitely return!

I loved this property! I received a virtual check in that was thorough and went over all things I needed to know. A brand new nespresso maker with plenty of pod options. A modern shower head! They left chicken feed so I could feed the chickens! The winery was less than a 3 min drive. The property was beautiful! In the morning the chef prepared a delicious 4 course meal in the cozy kitchen located down stairs. They have a beautiful patio right off the kitchen dining room. Overall would love to stay again!

This was an excellent bed and breakfast experience. From the moment the manager, Matt greeted us in the parking lot upon our arrival until we checked out, everything was amazing! Everything was clean, and the food plentiful and delicious! This 1820s house was quiet at night, although there were at least three couples in different rooms. There are no TVs, which adds to the historical charm and peace.

We recently spent 4 nights at Crossroads and overall it was quite enjoyable. Beds were very comfortable, rooms were very clean and loved the coffee machine with choices of pods! We wish there was a refrigerator in the room but one was available downstairs. It’s a bit tricky navigating the stairs due to the fact that the Inn is old ( 1820) and the stairs back then were small and steep. The grounds are beautiful and it was fun feeding the chickens! We were traveling with another couple and the one complaint we had was that one day there wasn’t enough breakfast food for all the guests. This was not the case on the other 3 days however. Breakfast was varied and tasty otherwise. The Inn is conveniently located and a short 20-30 minute drive to Charlottesville and the historic homes.

A unique property conveniently located. Room and bedding was too hot for 90 degree heatwave; a/c was underpowered. Traveling with another couple. No community meeting place and breakfast tables set as 2-tops. One morning there was no food for breakfast & staff had to wait for permission to heat backup provisions. Both rooms had no bath gel replenished. Staff was very personable and worked hard to correct issues.

Calm and quiet. Comfortable bed and pillows. Delicious breakfast on the outside patio. Just next door to a nice winery for tastings. Easy drive into Charlottesville.

The room was clean and the bathroom was very nice, particularly the shower. The decor of the suite overall was a bit disappointing; pretty sparse, not very inviting.
