Thomas is hands down one of the best bartenders. I felt right at home. Watching Star Wars on the 4th or The Outsiders, Neverending Story and many others with a great group from Buchanan MI!

Unconventional because no front desk however communication on checking in, parking, building and room entry were great. Clean rooms with a keurig coffee machine. Short walk to a cute little downtown. Would stay again for sure.

Very clean and comfortable. Only issue we had is we had to leave early at 6am, so my husband went out to load the car and was locked out. He had to call me to come down and let him back in the building. But staff was friendly and food in the restaurant was good.

We had such a great stay. The restaurant downstairs had such good food & all of the workers were very helpful and attentive. The room was super clean and the place was easy to find. Will def be staying here again!

Kudos to the people who rescued an historic building in Buchanan, creating an attractive boutique hotel. The common spaces and rooms are clean, modern and of good size. The hotel's restaurant, McCollum's, is good but not exceptional, but realize that it is one of the only dinner choices in Buchanan. The only drawback is that the sound insulation to certain rooms is not adequate for the very popular Friday and Saturday evenings when the bar and restaurant are very busy. Still, I would recommend The Grant to anyone visiting Buchanan or the surrounding area.

The room was great, restaurant downstairs was great. The reason I gave 3 stars is the noise from the restaurant/bar kept me up until 4 am. I realize it was a holiday (valentine's day) but that was a little too much.

Pros: *Location *Room was beautiful *Creek and Buchanan are beautiful *Staff was amazing Cons: *No parking - had to park two blocks away. *Above a bar with live music at times. I came in on a Friday and the bass from the band made it hard to sleep. The crowd would also cheer from time to time which also made it hard to sleep. Saturday night was better. No live band and a smaller crowd at the bar. Still had to park 2 blocks away. *They said the only entrance and exit is through the bar. Awkward when coming in with luggage, or after the funeral I attended, but then walking through a crowded bar to get to the room. Wish there was a a k doo for those who prefer not to walk through the crowd.

The room was stylish and good location. However there was a party raging in the lobby that could be loudly heard until almost 2.30 am. Could not get any sleep as the decibel level was over 80. Rooms should not be rented during a party night (day before Thanksgiving.

Very very extremely loud. For over $350/night I had a band playing and a bar screaming right below me until at least 1am. Worst stay at a hotel ever! The staff was the bar staff mostly, problems with electronic door. Horrible stay!
