This lovely painted wood structure has no sprinklers. Smoke detectors were visible but could not confirm that they were linked to a central fire alarm. We shared two rooms with a common bathroom with our family. When we checked, the floor fan and ceiling fan were both on at an extremely high speed, and the heat was available, but there was no cooling. Very warm overnight, we later discovered behind the blind on our floor inside room was a screened window with a view of a sort of covered outdoor alley, scattered with trash, across from other inside rooms, that we could open to cool off. Hows that for an upscale establishment? The rooms were small but renovated with a tiled shower and other attractive touches, but the standalone sink in bedrooms had absolutely nowhere to put toiletries, so we used a towel on the bed for toothbrush and deodorant in the morning. Nice and floor-mounted sitting area overlooking the street, with checkers, books, morning coffee, and a cooler full of ice instead of an ice machine. The front desk lady was quite brusque about declining a late checkout to accommodate a postal marathon shower. Expected with the general takeitorleaveitcityslicker ambiance. Eating and drinking establishments appeared fun but didn't try them.

We spent 4 nights there. The only downside is the amazing food, the haunting bar with great music, the coffee provided every morning and it was great, and Ollie beat me there every morning. Everything about this place is amazing. I can't wait to come back here.

The town's setting is fantastic. Loved how the steakhouse was conveniently located downstairs for dinner. There is live music up until 900 a. M., so you can hear it if you go to bed early. I enjoyed sitting on the balcony all afternoon and evening and watching people. For two people, the room is a little small. Although the bathroom is likewise modest, it was recently renovated and had heated floors and was very clean. There isn't an air conditioner in the room, but there is a ceiling fan. Large leather couches, tables, and chairs, a microwave, keri coffee maker, and a large area upstairs that you are welcome to use. Breakfast begins around 7 a.m., but we had already left.
