We stayed at the Westin New Orleans over Memorial Day weekend and had a wonderful experience. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly throughout our stay, making us feel welcome from check-in to check-out. The location was excellent and one of the biggest highlights of the hotel. The hotel is located right near the French Quarter, and most of the places we wanted to visit were only a few minutes away on foot. It made exploring the area incredibly convenient, with restaurants, shops, attractions, and nightlife all within easy walking distance. One thing to note is that there is a train that passes by the area. We could hear it from our room, but it wasn't a big issue for us and certainly didn't take away from our overall experience. Our room had a beautiful waterfront view, and we enjoyed watching the river traffic throughout the day. The hotel does place a $150 hold on your card and charges a destination fee of about $35 per day. However, it's worth noting that you don't end up paying both separately. As long as there are no incidental charges, the destination fee is deducted from the hold. The fee also includes benefits such as a daily shuttle pass, credits for the bar, restaurant, or room service, and a few other perks that added value to our stay. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely stay here again. The only thing we hope for next time is better weather, as we experienced quite a bit of rain during our visit. We look forward to returning!

The hotel was perfect as always. We were there for Sail 250. We had a great view for the fireworks. Only complaint would be that the valet was closed.

I am a member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary attending Sail 250. I was very pleased with my stay. Everything was excellent but most of all the staff. The professional and friendly staff made the stay great.

The room was extremely comfortable with an incredible view. The staff was helpful. Breakfast was pricey but overall OK. The bar stayed crowded and we had to wait forever for a server. But it was a busy weekend for the area.

This is a beautiful hotel. It is close to everything. Just walk outside and you can walk to everything. Your across the street from the water and at night they do a beautiful firework show. This is the place to stay.

The hotel was perfect for everything we needed for our visit during Sail250, and I mean perfect. Two tall ships were outside the windows at the 11th floor lounge and our room on the 17th floor. We had a perfect view of the fireworks too! Clean, spacious, thoughtful details. The staff held their cool during a VERY busy time.

the Hotel was very nice in an excellent location overlooking the river. The room was very nice, beds comfortable and clean. the bar was awesome. What we didn't like was the destination fee, that we had heard about beforehand from reviews. If we hadn't no one would have said a word. Also, we thought that the $39 breakfast buffet was a bit pricey and the a la carte items very pricey too. The valet parking fee of $58 per day was also a bit much.
