I will definitely stay here again in 2017. What a beautiful little hotel! My husband and I stayed here to celebrate our October birthdays! We had a great time! The owner is the sweetest lady. Thank you for your hospitality! Recommended! The best part, I saw wild horses come up to eat the fresh grass at the back of the motel, out our window! So fantastic! We'll be back next year!

Ive been coming to this location since I was a kid. We probably did a day trip there every 10 years, since my new wife had never been in the fall of 2020 due to the fires. Make the trek over the hill from Tahoe for a visit. It really hasnt changed much in 50 years since I was a kid, which is good. If you visit, make the effort to go to the Boot Hill Cemetery at the end of town if you want to see a real old west cemetery. There are also two ways to get here from the Reno side and the Tahoe Carson city side. If you enjoy the old west, gold country, the Tahoe Carson city side has a few very cool small, whats left of mines, and other small places to visit.

This inn is a nice one. It reminds me of a 1970 motorbike course. The owners took great pride in how cute each room is with a western theme. My room was clean and had a comfortable bed with three huge pillows to choose from. The interior looks updated and fresh. It has a microwave and a mini fridgefreezer. The air conditioning worked well. The grounds are beautifully landscaped with flowers, shrubs and a large peach tree. A picnic table is available in the back overlooking the mountains and parts of virginia city. Late at night, a wild horse came by to eat some grass in the nice back area of the hotel. Later, I noticed a herd of eight about two blocks from the inn. By the way, the owners have opened another inn that they just constructed just down the road.
