Owned by a very nice young local couple who are very committed to refurbishing this older hotel that they purchased about a year ago. Dave & Harvey (their dog) warmly greeted me and showed me to my room. It was very comfortable and clean. The grounds are beautiful and show lots of TLC by the couple and their young son. The convenient free parking lot seemed pretty full most of my three-night stay, and the other guests seemed friendly. I’d definitely stay there again on another fantastic San Clemente visit!

Convenient location, beautiful boutique inn, owners are friendly and helpful, they take pride in their property, clean rooms and common areas. Easy parking close to room. This is definitely a hidden gem while visiting the SoCal Coast.

I can not recommend West Coast Surf and Stay highly enough! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the perfect location, but what truly makes this place special is the hospitality. Dave and his wife are incredible hosts. They went above and beyond to make us feel genuinely welcomed. I happened to be feeling a bit under the weather during our stay, and their kindness made all the difference. They provided us with fantastic local recommendations for places to eat and things to do, which turned our trip into a total blast despite me not feeling 100%. It is rare to find service that feels this personal and sincere. We had so much fun and we already cannot wait to go back. If you are looking for a great stay with amazing people, this is the spot.

From the moment you are greeted by the owners, you can tell the care they have for you and the property. Is this a fancy shmancy hotel with a pool and a restaurant inside? No, but for the price, location, and cleanliness of the property- its perfect. The bed is comfortable as well. Its also a 20 minute walk or a 5 minute uber ride to the bars and restaurants.
