I cannot say enough about this beautiful hotel overlooking the wharf. I mean it’s perfect so anyone or couple wanting to get away from the cotidian life. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. They have wine every night In the Main lobby. There’s vending machines fully stocked just in case you need anything after hours. There are literally two great restaurants at the bottom of the hill which I highly recommend (grab the shrimp tacos) I had a wonderful time and would highly recommend the hotel. I’ll be back

Staff were amazing. Hot tub was very enjoyable. Ocean view spectacular. Met th tortoise. Grounds were beautiful. Enjoyed wine by the fireplace at night and coffee on the balcony in the morning

What a beautiful surprise, the small lane to access and the feeling of being off the beaten path. The facilities are in pristine shape and very clean. The rooms are nice. The beds, very comfortable. We enjoyed the coziness of the fireplace. The buffet breakfast is small in choices but very good. The yogurt was some off the best I have had. The staff are great!!!

Really enjoyed every single thoughtful touch on the property. You can tell that this is their pride and joy. The happy hour skewers and snacks were delightful. Beautiful location on top of the hill. The views of the ocean are stunning and the courtyard is very beautiful. There are lovely wooden carvings and corn hole and darts to play in the courtyard along with lovely seating. We enjoyed our private patio very much and our room was wonderful. Felt very thoughtfully and tastefully put together. The eco friendly fireplace was really cute. Staff is wonderful. Highly recommend and wish we stayed longer!

Need better instructions finding food after hours, our luggage didn't arrive had to wait, was 4chours late, found little store with hot pockets thanks to local suggestions when the record closed early unable to get dinner

The location of this lovely Inn is very peaceful and relaxing. A small, rocky beach with otters and surfers, a functional fishing pier, access to miles of hiking along the coast, plus a great coffee shop, pizza joint and restaurant make this the perfect spot for a stress free, mellow stay. The Inn rooms are spacious, clean, comfortable, cute and nicely appointed. I believe most of them have balconies too. I loved the adorable courtyard with outdoor games, the turtle garden and all the beautiful wood art and landscaping. The staff was amazing! Super friendly and helpful! I’ll definitely be back!

I’m of mixed mind about giving my honest impression of the Wharf Master’s Inn on the coast in Point Arena, CA. I mean, what if it becomes so popular I can’t ever book a room?!? My sisters and I spend 3-days, 2-nights in the inn. The owner-host Karen is knowledgeable, friendly, kind and warm hearted There were hors d’ouevres and wine on offer when we arrived. Each room contains a DVD player and the lobby has a wide assortment of movies to watch. She even suggested a great film (The Upside starring Kevin Hart, Bryan Cranstoun and Nicole Kidman) which none of us had ever seen before. Even when the DVD player seemed stuck and unable to play, she quickly visited our room and convinced it to work. Our room had a nice small balcony which faced the courtyard-and not the ocean, but she encouraged us to sit on a section of the deck between buildings where we could enjoy the view while relaxing in chairs around an umbrella. She kindly mentioned that she would happily lend us blankets (and did) if the wind was too much. We spent at least an hour laughing and playing a quick game of trivia there. On our last morning, we ate breakfast in The Wave. The breakfast burritos (eggs, sausage, avocado) with a couple choices of salsa and a bowl of wonderful fresh fruit were all great. Thanks Kelly and her younger colleague. The location is serene and peaceful. We were only a few minutes from the town of Point Arena proper. It’s a nice part of California.

Quiet, secluded, romantic.. I could go on and on at all of the benefits that dislocation offers.. The staff is extremely helpful and courteous. The rooms are spacious, and those with a view are breathtaking. The rooms come with large Jacuzzi jet bathtubs. For those of us with bad backs, they can be the best view within 100 miles.. ( shut off time is 10 o’clock)
