My two companions and I were able to get two accommodations, one with two single beds and one with a queen bed, when we first walked in on the spot from Milano. We made the reservation on the spot after we were in district 1, the subsequent evening. Since we had to board a flight the following morning, we didn't have high hopes, but overall, this hotel was a little dated and not trendy. The receptionist was very accommodating in answering our questions about the rate, room, etc. The check-in lady was also extremely welcoming despite our language barrier. Although it was a fairly inexpensive motel, the service was fantastic. Within less than 15 minutes of the check-in process, we received our rooms. The rooms were spotless and tidy. Before the price paid, the bathrooms' amenities like a mini fridge, television, water heater, and electricity were all in working order. The bed was of good quality. We deemed it to be decent enough. No breakfast was provided, but don't worry, there are many street food nearby. One drawback is that we had a room that faces the major road, which will be very noisy in the morning with all the vehicles honk. Request a room that doesn't have a direct view. This was a normal and pleasant stay, particularly for a backpacker. A night's stay in was really convenient.

Lokasi hotelnya sangat strategis, di depan hotel ada taman kota, sepanjang jalan banyak toko dan tempat makan, mudah untuk mencari makanan, kamar dan kamar mandinya lumayan besar, ada kulkas dan TV, stafnya ramah, sarapannya biasa saja.

I have remained here many times during my ten years here in Saigon. I like the backpacker area, or ham gu lao district, because of the variety of meals after I've been fed up with rice and noodles for breakfast, lunch, and dinner on my far-off road trips - typically on motorcycles. New management now and all new staff except the excellent and helpful doorman who has been working there for the entire 10 years I've been there. A little recently restored and fine for a one-star Vietnam hotel I strongly recommend it. I always try to book rooms that aren't in the front where street noise is inevitable. I'm not there to watch the park. Last time I stayed in a standard double room and was given room 304. It had a lovely bathroom with a bathtub, plenty of hot water and was great for me and one overnight guest with a window that let in light so I could tell when it was morning, but no noise. Good and quiet air conditioning.

We stay for 3 nights with my family. The room is clean and comfortable, very close to the action of Ham Gu Lao. The hotel was able to extend our stay on short notice. Would definitely stay again.
