It’s peaceful, pleasant and quiet even when busy and the service is exceptional. I have 4 kids and there is enough for them to do on the property that they don’t trouble me or other guests so I can actually relax on a family vacay. My favorite place to vacay close to home, and likely anywhere.

We really enjoyed our stay. Lots of kudu, impala, monkeys and birds to watch without effort. Even saw 2 giant iguanas! The lions were impressive and their handler was very approachable and knowledgeable! Very peaceful and relaxed environment, can sit by the pool, wander the nature trails or sit on a private patio.

Fantastic experience - very professionally run place in a "friendly" savanna/bush, where you can take nice walks and see zebra, antelope, and many other animals. The food is excellent. Stayed here for in total 3-4 months the last 6 years and I rate it as my favorite hotel.

For my birthday, we spent a long weekend at this hotel. The surroundings were spectacular. The staff, particularly gift, Sam, and John, were extremely accommodating and courteous. The motel is somewhat dated. We had a chalet, and nothing noteworthy is in particular the bathroom because it is really outdated. Toilet paper of low quality. The meal was, at best, average. Despite being informed that our demands had been met and that they would be restocking before the end of the day, the bar was understocked and after one bottle of what we were drinking had snoozed, it was not restocked. We had to keep making changes to our orders, but everything was subpar. One night, they hosted a private event and ignored the guests. It countered the entire point of our stay there because it was noisy and inconvenient. We took part in a game drive, which was also subpar. The guide told us nothing about the animals and simply made up the names.

Over Valentine's Day weekend, my family enjoyed a lovely trip at protean chisamba. I've been a guest at this lodge for over 15 years because it's lukas premier conference center. But it's also a great family vacation location. I notice an improvement or two every time I visit the lodge, which is extremely well-managed. My kids were entertained by the swimming pool, jungle gym, basketball basket, and game drives, which are mature enough to sit under a tree with a good book. Although the food is a little hefty and heavy, we all enjoyed it and left room for deserts. The staff is amazing, many are longterm and working as part of a specialized team. Congratulations to Jenny, the longtime general manager, who has built a wonderful business and consistently delivers excellent service to her visitors.

This hotel safari lodge was perfect. The atmosphere was beautiful with plenty of grass and vegetation, kudos for free roaming and actually coming close to guests. Friendly and helpful staff, and delicious food. I particularly loved the variety of cooked vegetables. While it is incongruous with other game reserves in the region, they can also accommodate tourists on game drives in the adjacent Chisamba reserve.

Recently, my husband and I stayed at the lodge for a week. The staff was amazing and went out of their way to assist us in every way they could. Every day, we walked in the reserve for several kilometers. It is quiet, peaceful and exactly what we needed to reconnect with each other and nature. The food was excellent, and both breakfast and dinner were very enjoyable.

The room is clean but the thatch was recently redone on our chalet so some bits were falling down during our whole stay. We made sure we kept our suitcases closed and kept the mosquito net over the bed as a solution because our room had a great view. We saw bushboks, kudus, a wildebeest, trumpeter hornbills, bush babies, many other birds right from our patio.
