I had a fantastic stay, went with a friend for a few days, and I only have positive things to say. The hotel staff were excellent and very helpful, the rooms are clean and tidy with everything you need. The hotel feels and looks like a very traditional hotel, and the best part is you literally ski in ski out straight onto the slopes! Highly recommend!.

The positives are the hotel is in a fantastic location easy to ski in and out and close to two of the main gondolas that take you up into the mountains. Obergurgl was a great ski resort overall and Id recommend it to everyone. The food is really good with a lot of options for breakfast including fresh pastries and julius mein coffee on tap. The evening menu changes daily and was great each night. The only negative thing about the food is that you are asked to make your evening meal choices during breakfast. Its not nice to have to think about eating beef at morning. Negatives Our junior suite felt old and had some basic amenities that you would expect to find in a 4 hotel room a bath but there was no bubble bath to put in and reception did not provide us with any when we requested, no robes and no slippers. Our next day, we were given a bill for 9eur 60 for ex jugs of service water. However, the boss' attitude was the biggest disappointment. Every staff member we spoke with was lovely, but the manager was absolutely awful. Drinks do not come with half board so one night we just asked for tap water with dinner. The next day we were provided with a bill for $950 for ex jugs of service water. We kept trying to explain that the only reason we had questioned it in the first place

We had a fantastic week skiing and really enjoyed this hotel. Great location, ski to the door, delicious food that was healthy, imaginative, and plentiful. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The spa facilities were great and nice after a long day on the slopes. The rooms were comfortable and not too hot which can be an issue in winter resort hotels.

The best feature of this hotel is that the skin skis are 3 meters from the slopes and close to the gondola. The atmosphere is relaxed and the service is good, and they served food and wine at the buffet. It is a typical family-run 4-star Austrian hotel that is tidy and cozy. I appreciate the lovely experience.

This is a very pleasant traditional austrian hotel. We had a balcony with a lovely view of the paste, and when the weather permits it is truly ski in and ski out if you are skiing in Obergurglhochgurgl. Golden needs a walk to the bus or you can ski to the lifts and wade around town. There was undoubtedly a wide variety of cuisine, including a buffet, and we loved it all. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and there is a champagne reception in the middle of the week. It was without a doubt the nicest boot room I've ever seen, it was very modern and fully cooled. Good standard of spa facilities, both in family and adult areas. The only drawback was that it was extremely hot as in many ski hotels, making it challenging to sleep. The air outside was dry, so when you opened the window, it made your mouth dry. This may partly be due to Obergurgl being warmer than usual, but it was just about freezing, which could have affected Obergurgl's generally much colder at night. But if you don't mind a warm room, this hotel is lovely a bit traditional in terms of decor and atmosphere, but that's Obergurgl is a traditional resort all over. It's a nice hotel that deserves it's accolades.
