Very nice location on the water. The rooms were very clean and well maintained. We enjoyed the location as it was also close to St. Anthony and L'Anse aux Meadows. Would have liked for there to be some sort of drinking water available with breakfast (i.e water bottles). In general the breakfast was very nice and convenient with toast, coffee, yogurt, oatmeal, etc... Overall, highly recommend the viking lodge and would return.

The location is fantastic if you want to visit L'Anse aux Meadows or St. Anthony (about 20 minutes in either direction). The individual rooms are clean and warm, with Starlink access to internet, which is otherwise dodgy in Northern Newfoundland. There is a continental breakfast provided in the morning which gives a great start to your day.

Lovely property well located for visiting L’Anse aux Meadows, St Anthony and surrounding areas. Rooms are very large with large bathrooms as well. Very quiet, ocean front location with magnificent sunsets. Staff were helpful and the continental breakfast included home baked muffins and scones. The beds were extremely comfortable and WIFI was super fast. Highly recommend.

Rural property with a shared hot tub with an ocean view. Very quiet rooms. Continental breakfast was fantastic with fresh homemade baked goods. Massive BBQ area for guest use. Fire pit right on the ocean. This was exactly what we were looking for. Even loved visiting the chickens across the yard. We would eagerly recommend this to family and friends. Family run business that cares. Loved it and will stay again.

Ted and his wife are business people he knows his stuff. Everything about it was great except the weather and I dont think he can control that. The breakfast was good and typical but Ted comes in and works the room newfie style and before you know it the whole room is talking among themselves. This is a way up but you wont be sorry. Scenery to make you hold your breath BUT get gas at first opportunity always on the rock and assume there are no stores as you go so stock up always also. ENJOY

Everything was great and we enjoyed a spectacular sunset!! I know that is not a guarantee with every visit but we were lucky. We had to leave early so we were able to get a 'to go' breakfast. That helped us get to the Ste. Barbe ferry on time!! The place really had a quiet homey atmosphere, especially for me as I live in a log home. More overhead lighting would be helpful but this seemed to be a common issue almost everywhere we stayed.

We had a great stay at the Viking motel, the property is hugh, beautiful waterview, sunsets and hot tub. They have a continental breakfast included with fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal and toast to start your day. Easy check in and check out. Would definitely stay here again. Its about 20 mins from St. Anthony's.

So peaceful and quiet. The outdoor kitchen area was fantastic and well equipped. When the host found out we were going to use the BBQ, he provided many amenities to help us with our meal plus started the BBQ for us. The room was clean, and nicely updated. Would definitely stay at Viking Lodge again.
