June 2015 review ended by saying I hope we will return. September 2017 and we did return. It was so good to be greeted so warmly by the same friendly staff.We were lucky and had one of the best rooms and the view from the balcony certainly was Bella Vista.The weather for our first week was exceptionally hot so our walk up the hill from sea level certainly tested our fitness levels but we have returned home feeling very fit and healthy. The restaurants in the area are all excellent and good value for money.Will we return? Yes booked for next year already.Thankyou Maria,Raleigh,Alexandra and Fatina for a lovely holiday.See you next year. Mary.Northants

Hotel Bella Vista is a really nice hotel for everyone who is looking for a nice and quiet stay on crete. The beach is close and the full stuff ist very friendly and nice. We love that place and will come back for sure.

Nous avons passé cinq jours à l'hotel début Mai, c'était merveilleux ! Hotel sur les hauteurs de Stalis, au calme! Les photos sont tout à fait réaliste, on en prend plein les yeux, on est entre mer et montagne. De plus, le personnel est souriant et très attentionnés, tout comme Maria. Ils sont toujours prêt à vous satisfaire du mieux qu'ils peuvent. Jamais vu un personnel si agréable et chaleureux ! Le petit déjeuner est sous forme de buffet donc chacun prend ce qu'il veut. Les chambres sont spacieuses et propre, mais ce n'est pas un 4 étoiles français c'est sûr. Cependant, rien à redire, si vous voulez une serviette de plus pour aller à la piscine on vous la donne toujours avec le sourire. Si vous voulez goûter aux spécialités, la aussi, aucun soucis, même si ce n'est pas prévu il suffit de demander. Ils parlent très bien anglais, pour le français c'est plus compliqué, mais ils font beaucoup d'efforts et au pire il y a toujours le traducteur en cas de mots particuliers ! Donc pour nous super vacances à refaire le plus tôt possible et surtout au même endroit !!!

Proprio Maria est sensible, elle fait tout pour nous satisfaire; excellente bouffe, propreté des lieux, très convivial endroit . Merci Rayle, barman, drôle, attentif, attachant. Nick, manager à l'écoute de nos besoins. Sherley, barmaid tout aussi attachante. Marie aide cuisinière souriante et la femme de chambre qui nettoie nickel. Perfekt sted til børnefamilier, der er roligt og maden er meget børnevenligt. På Bella Vista hjælp de os med leje af bil og vi kunne aflevere bilen ved lufthavnen ved hjemrejse. De er i det hele taget meget flinke og hjælpsomme iforhold til udflugter og forslag til aktiviteter. God lille legeplads for de små. Wifi var lidt langsom.

This is the second time we have stayed here. The apartment was very clean and well equipped for a self catering stay. The staff are very friendly and make your holiday extra special with their enthusiasm to make your holiday what you want it to be. Maria ( the owner) cooks the best food in stalis. Alexandra and rali made us laugh and made some unique cocktails!!!! The views are spectacular, the apartments are built into he mountains which surround you. The hill to the apartments are a challenge and will not suit everyone, but you can drive, quad bike or get a taxi up if the walk is too much. Looking forward to going back next year.

This has to be the best self catering apartment we have used .We have used as many as 25 over a number of years visiting the Greek Islands. From the moment of arrival we were warmly greeted by Rayleigh who despite being busy in the bar and preparing meals carried our case up the numerous steps to our room. We did have great difficulty finding the Bella Visit as the address from Expedia did not mention Stallis so the Sat Nav. was of no use, we did pay a taxi driver to lead us there but be aware there are 3 Bella Vista s in the area. When looking at the view from the balcony it is easy to see why this property is called Bella Vista. It is important to note the description that the informs you that this would not be suitable for anyone who has difficulty in walking or climbing. We had hired a jeep and the area has plenty of good beaches, interesting towns and mountainous terrain to visit. A short walk downhill takes you into Stallis , a town that has plenty of good eating places a more crowded beach as well as water sports for the more active.Remember though that it is a steep walk back up to the hotel. The swimming pool is lovely The Saturday night bar b q excellent value and Maria and her 4 members of staff all went out of their way to be friendly. We met other families on return visits and hopefully we will be returning now we know how to get there.

It was great, however be aware to book it with Expedia. The hotel was already overbooked but Expedia ignores this information by the owners and still offers rooms. This leads to the owners having to sort out another hotel for a certain amount of time when they're overbooked. But they are friendly, the hotel is nice and the rooms are big, it is a 10 min way from the beach (steep hill). Perfect for families who want to spend time in the pool and a great atmospheric environment

We loved our time at Bella Vista - the staff were genuinely among the friendliest I have come across, always ready to help and pleasant throughout. The location of the apartments means that there really are some spectacular views. One one side you can see the beach & coastline and on the other side a beautiful view of Crete's sweeping landscape. We took some great panoramic shots. The rooms are great. Comfortable, tidy and regularly cleaned. All in all a great holiday at Bella Vista - we will be returning!

situé sur le flan d'une colline à environ 1 km à pied du centre animé de Stalis, cet hotel est si chaleureux qu'on se croirait dans une maison de famille ! les propriétaires sont adorables . La vue est simplement hallucinante ! on voit la baie de Stalis ,c'est un enchantement . Bref j'y retournerai pour la cadre , le confort ( piscine superbe ) mais surtout pour le personnel . N 'hésitez pas , allez y !!!!!!

Das Hotelteam ist super nett und bemüht sich sehr um die Gäste. Das macht meiner Meinung nach, kleinere Mängel wett. Ich würde wiederkommen! Das Hotel liegt auf einem Berg. Dafür wird man mit einem wunderschönen Ausblick über die Bucht belohnt!

Le personnel et la patronne sont très accueillants. Hôtel situé à l'extérieur du village donc calme tout en étant assez proche à pied de la plage et des restaurants. Magnifique vue et piscine très agréable.
