This location is in the shadows of Sam Gimignano and close to other wonderful Tuscan cities. If you're staying here, I strongly suggest renting a car because it will give you more freedom to explore the surrounding countryside. The pool is a great place to spend the late afternoon after a visit to see the sights and the bar on site makes for a great happy hour. We stayed here for 5 nights in May as our base camp for exploring Tuscany, and we couldn't have been happier with our experience. Naomi and Christian were amazing and welcoming from the start of planning our stay with Naomi, especially during our sorry goodbye! Naomi and Christian are extremely friendly and helpful! She discovered that we were traveling with our adult son and daughter and recommended a unit that allowed us plenty of space, comfort, and privacy. She made sure that the breakfast options included enough choices to make everyone happy even making us a special vegan cake for breakfast. This place is situated in the shadows of Samgimignano and close to other fantastic Tuscany areas. If you are staying here, I strongly advise renting a car because it will give you more freedom to explore the surrounding countryside. We love this place because it's lovely and has a good location. The owner and staff are very friendly and help us a lot. And the apartment was cozy with all the facilities we want. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable.

The location is good, the hotel is beautiful with nearby vineyard olive groves, and the room was comfortable, and the employees was courteous, friendly, and helpful with suggestions advice. Everyone was approachable and comfortable to communicate with. Despite there being no employees there after 200, the proprietors who reside down the street are only a phone call away. The only complaint was that the bathroom door didn't stay properly shut, and it needed to be fixed. However, we were able to use a small wooden stool to keep it closed, so it wasn't an issue. Breakfast was tasty and fresh local fruits, meat, and cheeses. The proprietors bake and serve various delicious cakes each day. Breakfast, coffee, cappuccino and espresso were the best we had during our entire trip to Italy. The proprietors are coffee experts clean their machine between every cup made, and they are delicious and smooth. The quality difference can be felt. We didn't have time to explore the pool, but it appeared to be spotless and well-kept. Parking was provided for free. A pizza place is located just down the street, about a 5-minute walk away. Our decision to stay longer was my only regret. I would love to return to this hotel.

We stayed at La Fornace di racciano for three nights. Our room was lovely with a balcony and table where we could enjoy a glass of wine at dusk. The pool was also lovely and had an amazing view. The area is very close to San Gimignano, and the family who owns it is extremely friendly and willing to offer suggestions. They also serve a nice breakfast and aperitif.
