Great stay with Maria and family. Place is very clean and can tell they have a lot of pride in their business. It was really hot by the air conditioning kept up and they have a machine for small amounts of ice which is rare in Italy and a nice treat at the end of a hot day. The walk up and down the hill is no joke, 600 plus steps but we took the road every day up and down which was easier plus shopping, great restaurants, and all the Instagram photo locations along the way. There is a local bus every 30 minutes nearby but we chose to walk/climb.

Maria and her family were very welcoming, nothing was a problem. Maria was very informative about everything we needed to know. I would highly recommend staying here. We had a beautiful room with an amazing view. They also provided a great selection for breakfast. Thank you Maria and family

Maria and Raphael and Angelo and Anna were wonderful. The whole family were attentive to our every need and were so kind and accommodating. They met us at the gate and Angelo and Raphael helped us carry our luggage up the stairs. Very helpful. I would advise anyone coming to Positano to try the Porter system to transport their bags up to their hotel, if it is in a higher location. It is delightful to have the view, but difficult getting the luggage there, especially on the narrow streets. Otherwise this is a wonderful place to stay, with wonderful hosts and a great breakfast and view. Loved our stay Christian and Rebecca, indian Wells, California

Maria, her husband and family are such lovely people, and she looks after her guests very well. The breaky was yummy every day, fabulous cappuccino! Bus stop is only 2 small flights of steps away, and some delicious restaurants very close. Thankyou Maria and family for a wonderful stay!

We loved our stay at Villa Celentano. We had a beautiful view and the room was clean and comfortable. The hosts are so friendly and helpful and were so accommodating when we arrived late due to flight delays on the day of our arrival. The walk to the town center is short and there are good restaurants nearby. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience on our first trip to Positano…definitely hope to return and would stay here again!

Maria and her husband run a spotless hotel/ short stay apartment accommodations. The beds are extremely comfortable and our room was generously large and spread over two floors! This property has the best water pressure of any hotel I have ever stayed and the walk in showers were large. We had a beautiful little balcony enough to sit out on and admire the stunning sea view. The breakfast was so plentiful and a wide selection of choices so something for everyone. There were even freshly made pastries that were still warm. Though not a coffee drinker myself the lady at the next table said, “Maria made the best coffee in Italy.” This property is well situated as we would walk downwards into the heart of town in less than 10 minutes. Tip: walk down to the main square but take the bus back up! It stops right outside the property. Maria gave us great recommendations of places to eat and all were wonderful! I really struggle to say anything negative as it’s such a wonderful hotel. There are stairs to the property but there are stairs to every property in Positano. It’s built into the side of a mountain. If you call ahead with your arrival time Maria’s husband will assist with your bags to your room. You really should book this property if you are visiting Positano or the Amalfi coast.

Warmest welcome from Maria and hosts! Never too busy to help with questions and travel plans. Beautiful views and up the "hill" on the "quieter" side of Positano but short/easy walk to restaurants and shops! IF visiting Positano, must be very comfortable with walking uphill/downhill and LOTS of stairs!!! Villa is off a driveable road but about 40-60 steps up to the property with luggage from there. After ringing the bell at the gate by the road, we were greeted by the friendly host who helped carry my luggage up to the villa (so incredibly nice of him since we had a long day of traveling!). We sincerely hope to return one day! Highly recommend this property!

A perfect location! Quiet and just outside of the main part of town, but close enough to make it easy to walk in for dinner at night. The owners are warm and helpful. The room was very clean and spacious and the view from our room was wonderful. Parking and breakfast were extra, but the paid parking was very conveniently located. If we return to the area we would definitely stay again!

This is a family owned and run pension. Maria and her family were exceptionally helpful with every aspect of our stay--reservation, directions of all kinds, GREAT breakfast, laundry, and more. We enjoyed getting to know her and her family and would recommend staying here if you want reasonably-priced accommodations in Positano and don't mind walking a bit.

We had a fantastic time staying at Villa Celentano in Positano - the only downside was that we were only there for 2 days! The reception was wonderful, incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was large, with all conveniences, as was the bathroom. The private balcony was again the size of a big room, with sunbeds, a table and chairs, where you can bring your own food - "the restaurant with the best view in town". They're not wrong! You can walk down to the beach or into town, and the walk back up is lovely, especially if you stay off the road with cars but stick to the little streets. You'll build up an appetite going up, and luckily the hotel is surrounded by other hotels and restaurants, so there's no lack of choice. We arrived by Sita bus from Amalfi, and left by ferry, via Capri, to Naples. We much preferred the second option, which is a more expensive - but much more pleasant way of travelling (with cases). Both are easy to do from this hotel.
