The resort is Japanese and the name is Takami. The hotel has a lot of tatami and the rooms have no bathroom, just a toilet. The place is also quiet and relaxing, it's deep in the park. Only the indoor hot spring is available. The room cleanliness is good and the sleep area separated from the toilet by sliding door.

I was afraid to leave this hotel after the overnight visit. Given the abundance of walking trails, the proximity of Shikutsuko lake, and the hiking trails nearby, this resort is probably worth it for a night stay. Due to a thunderstorm, our arrival at the new choose airport was delayed by one hour. Aided by the English rps in our rental car, we drove in the dark to yukimura shikotsuko. Despite the absence of street lamps along the roads out of town, the numerous green flashing arrows suspended above the country roads that pointed vertically downward to indicate the location of the road, were very useful. The low speed limit, which is between 50 and 70 km/h, was also beneficial. When we arrived at 8.20 a.m., we could see kitchen workers busy setting up our meal in the unoccupied dining room. The hotel receptionist was extremely pleasant and spoke excellent English. We enjoyed the scrumptious hot meal in the uncrowded dining room. We had a western-style room on the third level in the adjacent block, which was accessible by elevator to the second level and up a flight of stairs. People with mobility issues should request accommodations in the main block and take note. Our room was spotless and comfortable, with a kettle to boil water, a thermos of ice water, and snacks.

For a few days, I wish I could stay here. We didn't expect that this resort would give me so many opportunities to explore. Winter 2014, we were there. I took the truck there to find the resort, which is a little challenging. The personnel is really helpful, even though their English is limited. The place that was ultimately located at the entrance to the national park was eventually located. It was beginning to dark. So, I didn't notice anything. There is a natural waterway. A modest fee is available for a small cost to rent snowshoes from the hotel to explore the region. A magnificent lake view is visible from the restaurant next to the dining room. The dinner and breakfast were fantastic. I ate in my traditional Japanese attire for breakfast and dinner. The hotel and room appear a little dated. Everything is fantastic aside from that. Parking is available here. The lobby's little little shop sells locally-produced products. I'll remain some more days to take advantage of the park the next time.

We stayed for just one night but wish we could have stayed longer. The accommodation was traditional Japanese, including the breakfast, dinner, and breakfast which were included in the price. The staff was extremely courteous and the setting by the lake was wonderful.

We visited Lake Hitotsu and went bird-watching. On our return, we came upon this lovely resort and asked if we could use their olsen because we were exhausted. They replied, and it was well worth it. The olsen was clean, and towels are available at the counter, so request one before you head to the olsen. The coffee at the cafe is also good!.
