I loved my stay! The hotel is in a prime location - walkable to happo one mountain and to the happo bus terminal to take the shuttle to other mountains. The breakfast was a little pricey but delish buffet options. There are awesome restaurants in the area as well that you can walk to. I loved that there was a heated storage room for your snow gear. I needed it after a few days of rainy wet conditions. Everything was dry and ready to go the next day. The rooms were clean and simple. I loved the Japanese style room. There’s a traditional public shower/bathing area with nice shampoo and conditioner and an onsen onsite. I loved to go in the onsen every night after a long day on the mountain. Also the owner is so kind.

Wonderful stay! I was a solo traveler staying in hakuba for the snowboarding and I met new friends during my stay at this hotel! Theres a nice community lounge where people get warm and share stories about their day! Its also a 13min walk from Skyline Gondola and has many bars, restaurants, and food truck along the way!

The owner came and picked us up from the bus terminal! He spoke very good English and was very warm and friendly! He then dropped us back at the bus terminal at the end of the trip. Our room had a shared bathroom, which I didn’t realise would be the shared showers in the onsen (no booths or privacy) so that might not be for everyone when booking a room with shared bathroom. But apart from the showers, this place was great! It’s a little old and dated but warm and friendly and the location is so good! We could see our favourite runs at Happo One from the front door. Very close to the main bus terminal. I would definitely stay here again!

Staff were super helpful, offering free shuttle service whenever they saw us on our way out. The Onsen was amazing, although the 900 yen fee to use it caught me off guard, although 100% worth it. It's great if you're on a budget, as it is still a very short (3-5 minute) walk to all the restaurants and the main bus stop, but not so close that prices are super steep.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ougiya Ryokan! The staff were so friendly and helpful, the location was central to all our needs......Gondola, ski shuttle, bus terminal, restaurants, Lawsons. The breakfast was delicious and the Onsen so relaxing. I wish i could keep this place our secret!

We stayed in a traditional Japanese room during our trip to Hakuna for snowboarding! The room was clean, extremely hot, and the receptionist was very helpful for everything we wanted. Bus terminal is a 5-minute walk away and hakuba 47 bus stop is just outside the hotel. Wifi was also good. Nice breakfast and the beginning was what we needed after a day of snowboarding.

The service is excellent. They provide a convenient bus station so you can get to other resorts in the area. But when I stayed here for nine nights, I would not hesitate to come back.

My partner and I stayed in this hotel on our snowboarding trip. The staff was very informative and helped us complete our itinerary. Walking distance to the slopes. Delicious breakfast provided. Love this Roman living place!

We absolutely enjoyed our stay and will return. In a room with twin beds and a separate living area, we stayed 5 nights late in February. With a couple of chairs and a table available, the room was clean and spacious. It was nice to sit and gaze out at the mountain view and see what the weather would be like in the morning. The bathroom had a separate shower room with a bathtub, a separate bathroom, and a basin. Excellent layout. Ski storage and drying rooms can be joined together in a large room, without anyone concerned. The hotel owner takes excellent care of the guests, offering advice about the area, schedules, restaurant recommendations, calling ahead to assist us with the next leg of the trip, and even cooking he is an experienced chef and a devastation dinner for us and another couple delicious! Purchase lift passes from the hotel for a reasonable price. We typically walk about 30 minutes to the bus stop when going to other mountains, and keep our shoes in the mountain locker 200 or 300 yen while skiing, which made traveling more enjoyable. Breakfast at the hotel was very abundant with many options, including egg dishes, hot dishes, japanese breakfast, toast, fruit, yogurt, coffee tea, and much more.

Very helpful owner who spoke good English and offered to pick me up from the station even though I arrived at quarter to ten pm. The room not in absolutely mint condition but clean and comfortable. The onsen was not exceptional but enjoyable. The breakfast buffet provided a wide range of choices for a hotel of this size. Unfortunately, the restaurant was reservations only when I had hoped to have dinner on my second night.

We turned up to hotel Ouguiya Hakuba and it turns out it is connected to the ryokan via an underground passage. Hotel staff very friendly, and will attempt to assist in anyway possible. No showers close to the ryokan. You must walk about 250 meters up and down stairs to the onsen room which has showers there with other hotel guests. The onsen is incredible and most of the time we had it all to ourselves. you can use the large breakfast room owned by the hotel for about 1000¥. Very good fun, but be prepared to sleep on a futon, in an old traditional backpacker style private rooms, enjoying onsen and kimono wearing!

建物は少し古いが、洋式トイレで特に不満に感じるものはない。大浴場は清潔で気持ちよく入浴できます。朝食はよくある内容のバイキングで値段にしたら1000円程度の食事になります。
