This ryokan was the best part of our trip to Japan! Would stay there again. Delicious breakfast and lovely hosts.

My son and I had a lovely stay. We stayed for 1 night and I wish he had stayed for more. The owners were so hospitable and nice. The room was clean, comfortable and very pretty. The private rock garden at entrance is a very nice touch. When we got back from dinner, the owner had drawn up a nice warm bath in the private bath house. We relaxed the busy day away and he presented us with a refreshing dessert. We opted for the traditional Japanese breakfast and it was a beautiful presentation and tasted great. Included rice, miso soup, tea, grilled fish, and tempura. I would recommend 10 out of 10.

We stayed in this Roman for one night to experience Japan's custom. We were not let down! The family who runs this wonderful Roman provide the kind and helpfulness we need. Everything was spotless and perfect. We paid for breakfast and it was well worth it. The traditional Japanese breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Besides that, you are provided with a nighttime kimono and anti-slip japanese socks. Very cute! The Roman is accessible from the lion district, which is home to several walking geishas and a maiko. I would undoubtedly return to Kyoto to enjoy this beautiful experience.

Overall, a really good idea! The host was quite helpful in recommending us for choosing places to eat, making reservations, figuring out our day to have the greatest experience, and speaking good English. The room was stunning, and the breakfast was delicious! When we got there, they also gave us tea and snacks, as well as dessert when we returned. Very welcoming. Dressing in traditional kimono, etc. was a lot of fun and generous of them! Unfortunately, they aren't beginning, but we didn't think it took away from our trip. We had the entire upper floor, which included multiple rooms, and had a stunning view of the garden. The neighborhood where they are in is beautiful, but the little shops were cute, with lots of local pottery and delicious snacks.

If you book an upper room, the downside is that you can't use the small entrance downstairs for the other guests. The bathroom upstairs feels very private, is much bigger than expected, and is clean. There are no words to describe how fulfilling it was when we checked in to have a traditional kyoto visit. We were able to reserve a room on the highest floor, which can comfortably hold 5 people, so while some Romans might get a little cozy, we were blown away by the size of the space we could enjoy, even though it was just the two of us. Swiping doors, tatami mats, futons, and yukatas. Traditional accommodation with modern amenities. If you order an upper room, the disadvantage is that you can't use the small opening downstairs for other visitors, but the upstairs bathroom feels very private, much larger than expected, and immaculate. It also gave us the luxury of being able to take a great photoshoot in the morning. The inn was 400 meters down or, rather, up the road from the Kiyomizumichi bus stop. The evening experience was wonderful because it was held in the middle of the higashiyama area. It was a traditional kyoto breakfast offered by the family. It was extremely delectable and plenty of food, but the real magic commenced

I would definitely recommend and stay there again. Great service near the tourist street on the hill. There is a huge cherry blossom tree. What everyone else said is true! Fantastic, warm, and caring hosts. Its like staying with family. They speak good English and went out of their way to make our stay amazing. We were greeted by the traditional tea ceremony. We had the whole upstairs to ourselves bedroom, sitting room, water closet, and shower area. Peaceful and quiet. Very Shino Zen feel. Breakfast was delicious. Definitely must! Each day was different. Our hosts provided a bit of a snack at night to wrap up the night.

I booked a one-night stay at yadda manjiro. Our room included a living area, bedroom, and small sitting area, all with views of the garden. The owner introduced us with match tea and sweets as soon as we arrived at around 530 am. One of the friendliest people I've ever encountered, the owner is fluent in English. He went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. For example, after spending the rest of our day exploring and returning late that night past 9 am, we were served cut fruit and Swiss roll cake. The entire second level of the property was left to ourselves by the two of us. All of the amenities were spotless, refinished, and kept tidy. Our room had a living area, bedroom, and tiny living space, all of which had a garden view. The futon beds were comfy and warm, and we both had an excellent night's sleep. Two kata were provided in the room. I also reserved two brunch choices, one vegetarian. I confirmed this to the owner when I checked in and inquired if dash and egg were acceptable. I thought this was very considerate and informed of him. We ate breakfast downstairs in a lovely dining room. The meal was delicious and beautifully presented, with a variety of colorful, freshly crafted dishes, including diverse veggies, tofu, fish for my companion, mis
