It’s impossible to find fault with our stay at Mutara Camp. Our party of three had a car accident on the way, and Dido and Lilomo drove out at night to Rumuruti to pick two of us up - an hour each way on bad roads. The chef had stayed up to cook us a hot meal when we arrived after 11pm, which was very welcome. That level of service was maintained throughout our stay and Dido even helped our son navigate his way through the bureaucracy of the crash. All without knowing any of us beforehand. The food was delicious; Alex was attentive to our every need from the bar; the accommodation very comfortable; and game plentiful (apart from lions, which didn’t show up). As everything is included, save for entrance fees to the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, it also compares rather better on cost to other, less exclusive, lodges than you might think. Definitely highly recommended.

The staff was literally outstanding!! The tent was gorgeous. Our major complaint was the food choice was very limited and not always geared to an 'American' consumer. We had a couple great meals and the rest were hard to enjoy since we don't eat seafood.
