Although she informed me that she intends to add another couple in the future, Fiona only houses four lovely tiny apartments. We remained in unit 2, which was lovely and sunny and had a lovely rural outlook. This apartment has two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with a bunk bed, making it ideal for families. A cozy living room and a fully equipped kitchen. Everything was immaculate, but the carpet may soon require replacing. Although the cheeky chickens love to move in and scurry around on the floor, you must keep the front door locked. We kept our windows open at night because mosquitoes were a nuisance. But this would be too hot in the summer, so I would advise using repellant and citronella candlescoils. Fiona does offer insect spray and a plug-in movie machines. The midland Road, located up the hill from Tryphena, is a wonderful location. We took our own vehicle on the ferry, which meant we could easily bring enough food with us for our breakfasts and most of our lunches, before treating ourselves to dinner each night. Because bread and milk are not cheap on the island, flying over would limit what you may have brought. When you make a reservation, Fiona provides a ton of helpful information. She booked the ferry for us as well, which was cheaper than me. We

One of my favorite trips to date has to be this one. We only had two adults and two children who stayed at the after lodge in unit 2, and a third adult came a few days after the trip, providing us with plenty of space and everything we required. Since we first booked the trip, Fiona has been excellent, including her dogs, her pets, and slugs, the sweetest and most polite wee dog, a few chickens sniffing about, and a few intriguing wee pigs. Plus, the location is ideal! It's only a short stroll from the beach and the store across the street. I even managed to run him a few times each morning, providing some of the nicest views you could possibly want. Wonderful location, and I'll undoubtedly return.

This is a clean and comfortable room, full of amenities needed for my visit to the island to compete in the 2019 marathon. The environment is very quiet, and the birds and wildlife sing along. There is a 5 minute walk to Tryphena township and pa beach! Fiona is a wonderful host.

Would I return? Definitely, but to be sure of getting the proper room, I would reserve directly. The proprietor and staff were fantastic. I was able to book early, which was greatly appreciated. The room, in contrast to my expectations, was not the best, with only four bunk beds and no double beds. As soon as I raised the matter, I was transferred to a room with a double bed. The accommodation is straightforward yet cozy. The shops and restaurants are all within easy walking distance, but be aware, it's up a hill!

We stayed here for 3 nights while visiting the barrier island. A beautiful place, easy to find and a great base for exploring the island. Fiona is a very nice host and we love staying in one of her units. Thank you, Fiona. She also offers a package including rental cars.
