Just returned from a fantastic 3 nights at Casa Cayuco with our family of 5. Everything, from the welcome and transfers, to the smoothies/drinks, fresh made meals with local ingredients, to the excursions far exceeded our expectations. We are a mixed Panamanian-American family, and Casa Cayuco allowed us to introduce our children to the most beautiful parts of this country. I have been to Bocas Del Toro several times, but Casa Cayuco has the strongest relationship with its indigenous neighbors of any property I have previously stayed at. We definitely plan to return.

From the minute José met us at the Bocas airport, every minute of this adventure and stay was absolute perfection. Casa Cayuco manager Alondra met us at the dock to welcome us and give us a tour. She’s a lovely young woman who goes above and beyond in all she does – like everyone who works at this magical eco resort. We stayed in the one treehouse on the property which was incredible. I slept like a rock every night, and the late evening rain storms were the best. We formed great friendships with the other guests who you share meals and daily adventures with. Speaking of meals, the food is so fresh, healthy and delicious that I’m plotting my return already. You’re offered daily excursions (I did all of them) that include everything from snorkeling at the mangroves and reef, jungle hikes, visiting monkey island – to my favorite – watching baby sea turtles leave their nest and make their way to the sea! So beautiful I nearly cried… I held an octopus, swam with nurse sharks and rays, saw some of the most vibrantly colored coral I’ve seen in years and soaked up every moment of beauty and joy. It’s also great to just hang out on the dock, in a hammock, snorkel around the dock or take a kayak or paddle board out on the crystal clear water. If you care about sustainability, love nature, want to meet like-minded travelers, enjoy off-the-beaten path adventures and desire to hang out in paradise with some of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet, this is the place for you.

Announcement

After you book:
The property will email you a Traveler Information Form upon completing your booking. This form must be filled out once travel plans have been secured, so Casa Cayuco can coordinate your pickup.


Beverage Policy:
The property has a full bar that includes well and premium liquors, an organic wine list, and classic Panamanian beers. Consumption of outside alcohol while on the property is not permitted.


How to arrive:
The lodge is located a 35 minute boat ride from Isla Colon “Bocas Town”. Included in your stay is a round-trip speedboat transfer from Bocas Town. The scheduled pick-up time is at 02:00 PM from the Bocas airport or 03:00 PM from our dock in town. This pick-up time aligns with Air Panama Flight 982 (arriving at 02:00 PM) from Panama City. Return trips depart from Casa Cayuco after lunch, at 12:30 PM. If your travel plans require a transfer outside of our scheduled transfer time, the property can accommodate you for an additional fee.


Included in each stay: 
-Round-trip speedboat transfer from Bocas Town, Isla Colon.
-Locally grown, small batch coffee and tea every morning.
-Chef’s choice breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack, and 3-course dinner.
-Use of Casa Cayuco’s recreational equipment including kayaks, snorkel gear, surf and boogie boards, standup paddle boards, and yoga equipment.
-Guided tour of the local village.
-24-hour on-site staff.
-High-speed WiFi throughout the resort.


Minimum Stay:
In an effort to minimize our carbon footprint, the property requires a three-night minimum stay.


Prices and Taxes:
All room charges are subject to 10% Panama Hotel Tax and all incidental charges are subject to 7% Panama Tourism Tax.


Smoking Policy:
The property is a smoke-free resort. There is no smoking permitted in guest rooms or public spaces.
