Very beautiful property. The staff were lovely very happy to help. Nice rooms everything was great. I was able to get a gorilla trek at the last minute which was fantastic due to the last minute calls arrangement by the supervisor ladies at the desk. Well furnished and updated colonial house..

What a beautiful gem this location is. Beautiful setting, friendly staff, the most delicious meals and personal touches in all rooms. You are a person, not just a keycard with a number. Highly recommend for travelers traveling this side of Rwanda. Tranquil, lush gardens with a separate dining area overlooking the pool. Lovely indoor fireplace at night. A hot water bottle tucked into your bed when you return from dinner is such a welcome surprise! A gym with everything you need. Without a doubt a place you can call home from home. Hope to come back someday.

We used Bishop House as our base for gorillas and golden monkeys. Service was excellent. Staff were nice and always accommodating. Rooms were clean and in good condition. However, I would avoid massages as they are not really equipped for that.

We highly recommend staying at this wonderful location. At the bishop's home, we had a fantastic experience. The manager, Steve, did a fantastic job of decorating and transforming the home into a luxurious venue with local decor. The entire team is warm, welcoming, and accommodating. I wish I could name everyone, but here are some. Eric, the bartender, not only made delicious cocktails, but was also friendly and engaging. The cuisine was excellent, and the chef, Kali, is outstanding. Steve checked in on us frequently to make sure we were having fun and see if there was anything we needed. The hotel grounds are lovely, and it is close to the volcanoes national park, where we had a tripofalife experience with the gorilla trek and also enjoyed the golden monkeys.

There is a beautiful garden, a roomy and comfortable room, and fantastic service. Not far from the Gorilla and Monkey trekking park headquarters. I liked the food as good and not in a schedule. Kevin was a gem. The newly renovated grounds are full of birdlife, so you feel more remote than you actually are.

During our two nights of trekking through the national park, we stayed at Bishop's House. The service and overall experience there were first-rate. The hotel staff couldn't have been more helpful. The hotel restaurant's cuisine is excellent, and our room was in a lovely garden setting. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.
