Fantastic place with beautiful animals. The accomodation included a free game drive and we were able to see 3 of the big 5. Will recommend and be back. Great staff also from check-in to cleaning.

The worst experience of our lives, we arrived at the lodge on the 31st of December 2021 it was new years eve and the lodge invited us to some bring and braai end of the year party somewhere at the lodge, we were to bring our own meat while they provide the pap and gravy. We slept at around 00H30, in the early hours of the morning at around 3am we discovered that we have been robbed of all our cellphones and some of our belongings. Someone broke in through the window and robbed us while we were asleep. One of my kids was sleeping on a sleeper couch, my phone was just next to me. Can you imagine how traumatic this whole experience was for my family. We lost 4 phones(S21 Ultra,S10 plus,S9 plus and A2), an expensive bag and a few Rands. Our car was searched and they took car tracker remote. I found this lodge via your app and was disappointed that this happened and we are still dealing with the trauma. To think someone came in and did what they did while we sleep, its the scariest thing. We left the next day after we were done with all the police procedures. Safety should be a priority in any holiday place, especially where families and kids are involved, Mabula should do better. Really angry about this whole thing.
