I would strongly recommend this lovely getaway. My friend and I stayed for a week, and it was perfect for us. Ian and Maggie were wonderful hosts, just enough contact to know they were on site but not intrusive. The warm homemade scones were delicious, and the week needed a test when we first arrived and were highly recommended. There is hot water on tap everywhere, and we only had to use the emerson once or twice to fill up when it was pouring rain. The information provided by them both about the area and what to do, even during raining, was excellent.

After staying here for two nights, we will better plan our next trip and remain longer. We had a great time!. Our host, Ian, welcomed us on our arrival. With a smile and a plate of delectable, melt in your mouth desserts, he gave us a warm and hospitable welcome. The Balebarn Lodge was where we had our accommodation. It was cozy and well-equipped. The piano was an added bonus! I was pleasantly delighted to discover it was tuned. Our niece spoiled us with music. 89 yrd dad enjoyed the walk-in shower. The location was ideal for our 8-person group to unwind and explore north devon. Extremely peaceful. We enjoyed going skateboard and the tandem and skateboard while Dad went fishing. For over 45 years, haven't ridden a skateboard! It, however, also favors quieter activities like yoga, painting, and reading. The hot tub was a huge hit in addition.

We stayed for a week. We rode a lot and found the surrounding Iolenc villages. The lodge was perfect and a good value. Easy access to the coast for a day on the west coast. Nearby pubs provided lots of food options and cycling stops.

I had a fantastic experience here. Peace and quiet, which we sought, yet with easy access to north and south Devon. Excellent amenities in the lodge that have everything we need. Even an owl was seen! If I ever return to Devon, I will definitely return. Lovely scones upon arrival and very helpful hosts.

We stayed at the lodge as a family accommodation for a wedding and they were great. Facilities are excellent and Ian was a nice host. Great wifi and beautiful view and great value for money I will be back!
