The fridge in the kitchen was dirty and smelly, the cooker hood was greasy and the oven was not clean. The floor in the living room was dirty. The bathrooms were clean but one shower was broken. The bedding and towels were clean but I removed the pillowcases before we left and the pillows were extremely dirty. The windows were really dirty both inside and outside. The apartment was in a very good location close to the city centre and Albert Dock.

The whole apartment felt very grubby and unclean. The kettle had so much limescale there were chunks of it flaking off in our tea. There was tissue paper stuck in a hole in the window/door in the main bedroom. There were stains and food particles stuck to the fridge and cooker. It just felt really grubby. The bath had alot of mould and mildew.

The communication from the company was exceptional and very clear. The rooms are clean and provided for, the beds reasonably comfy etc.. but unfortunatly when we arrived the whole flat smelt very strongly of cigarette smoke. It is however easy to get to and worked for us for a business trip at the dock.

Instructions re which ramp to use (up or down) to enter car park under the apartment block were not clear. We went up ramp but key fob provided would not open the gates so had to reverse back down ramp to try the ramp going underground. Not a good start! On entering apartment found it to look a lot different to pictures on website. There was no coffee table or furniture unit. The floor was damaged in one corner by the table. The kitchen floor had crumbs over it, the skirting boards were dirty, the drawer fronts in the freezer were all cracked and broken, the oven was unusable as it was so dirty, the waste bin was broken as had no lid to contain smells and keep the flies out, the wardrobe in the en-suite bedroom had one of its doors hanging off and the curtain rail in that room looked dangerously close to falling down! We reported all of these things to the agent who replied to say they would forward our complaints but we heard no more. To complete our disappointment we discovered that all the TV stations ‘had no signal’ the whole week we were there. We were hoping to watch a movie and some of the World Cup so this was very disappointing indeed!! To add insult to injury when we came to leave we would have swept the floors/vacuumed/cleaned the toilets but there was nothing there to enable us to do this. We actually went and bought a toilet brush and left it there as we wanted to leave the bathrooms in a clean state. The appt. is centrally located and good to have parking.
