Just come home from a 2 night stay. The hosts were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Bed was comfy and room was clean. Breakfast was delicious and the property is situated close to town and beach. Would definately recommend.

The room, guest house and dining room were all exceptionally clean and tidy. The owners are lovely friendly people who help you anyway they can. Breakfast is lovely and the parking is a massive bonus. Overall, it is a lovely place to stay and I will certainly be going back!

Our stay was very pleasant. The room was very clean and tidy. Lovley soft towels left. There were ceiling fans all round the guest house which was made such a difference in the heat. The location is perfect just a walk away from the seafront. It was quiet. The hosts were amazing. We are definitley booking Stanley house again. Also we managed to get oarking which was a bonus

A bright and clean room with comfy bed, good bathroom, and with tea and coffee making facilities as well. Stayed 2 nights and had a nice freshly cooked breakfast both mornings, also has cereals available too for those who want. Easy to get to the sea front, just a few minutes walk, and easily walkable along the promenade to the town centre and harbour (around 20 minutes from B&B to harbour, you could also get to the railway station in about half of that if coming by train). One of my main considerations when booking was the availability of parking, and this place has its own spaces for guest cars right outside (out of interest I looked at cost of parking outside the places facing the sea and its around £7 a night). All in all a good stay hosted by a very friendly couple, and at a very decent price too in a nice quiet area.

Off road parking in quiet area. 20 minutes walk to harbour area. Lots of pubs, fish and chips shops among wide streets and narrow streets on a grid pattern. Hotel near seafront but not visible. Frequent bus service along seafront to local villages and Dorchester.
