This renovated property is clean, well appointed, and overall a great value and great place to stay. We met both the owner and manager; you can tell how serious they both are about customer service and the brand they've created at the colony house. If you enjoy attention to detail, great location in Roanoke, and staff that care about what they're doing, stay here. We would stay again of on the area!

If you're looking to go back in time, too the days of roadside motels, this is the place for you! Impeccably restored in all its mid-century modern glory, The Colony House is full of fun and whimsy. I highly recommend a stay here when in the Roanoke area.

Was a little further out than I had planned but that was not an issue in the end. Clean, tidy and would use again.

Very clean, very comfortable, good WiFi, great shower. On a busy road but did not notice any road noise in the room at all. All kinds of dining/shopping nearby if you need. Probably my go-to for Roanoke now.

Nice place. Rooms were spanking new with lively furnishings and superior bed and linens. Staff was super friendly and attentive. Nice coffee bar in the lounge in the morning. Loved it! Ac worked super. Very modern system.

The design of the renovation is great, but it's not 100% practical. The shower 'half-door' results in water going onto the bathroom floor. Also the steam from the shower set off an internal (smoke?) alarm. I reported both to the front desk and was told they've heard it more than once. The staff was very friendly, the bed comfortable. The retro look of the place is great. No microwaves in the room if that matters to you and no restaurant on the property (though several places close by).

My wife and I would not hesitate to stay here again if we are back in Roanoke. Everything about the place was very nice.

We absolutely loved our stay at Colony House Motor Lodge! First of all, we travel a lot, and I would normally never choose what I think of as a traditional motel. I was BEYOND pleasantly surprised from the moment we arrived. There was nothing dated or “motel-like” about it! It felt fresh, modern, and far more upscale than the price point. Our in-laws, who live in Roanoke, convinced us to give it a try while we were in town waiting for our daughter to have our first grandchild. We wanted something close to both the hospital and our daughter’s home that wouldn’t break the bank. We typically stay downtown and enjoy all the amenities, but we didn’t want to deal with parking garages or valet parking. After staying at Colony House for a week, we can honestly say we would absolutely stay here again! The staff was INCREDIBLY friendly and accommodating. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and surprisingly spacious, with fun décor, blackout curtains, a smart TV, and what felt like a brand-new bathroom. The shower was fantastic! Since our grandson decided to arrive later than expected, we had to keep extending our stay. The process was easy every time, and the staff couldn’t have been nicer. We loved being able to pull right up to our room, and the value was outstanding. It was exactly what we needed and exceeded our expectations in every way. We travel to Roanoke about once a month, and Colony House will definitely be our first choice from now on.
