Owner was very Sweet! Had called to check on my arrival time and I had mentioned in conversation, I forgot my book. He politely offered me books and set some on the end of the bed for my arrival. Very cute and cozy place. Very peaceful to set and read a book at the outside accommodations.

Ric was very thorough. Confirmation and arrival and access information provided in great detail, as well as signs everywhere. CUTE PLACE!!! very comfortable. i could have sat and stayed out on the front porch forever. Septic system / drains obnoxiously noisy in our unit A.

We were very happy staying here. From the welcoming we received, to the time we left two days later, we enjoyed our stay. We will definitely stay again if we ever make it back that way. The bed was really comfortable, the internet fast, the coffee great, the fridge/freezer worked fantastic and the extra little touches made it a happy stay. Being just right out of town, yet back from the road just enough to feel peaceful and secluded, we swung on the porch swing in the evenings and watched the cars go by, the birds and the squirrels play and just relaxed. It’s a beautiful property and we were so glad we chose to stay here. The layout was not a problem for us as some people mentioned, and the bathroom area was big enough to keep our suitcases in and out of the way, so there was plenty of room. There is a hanging rod for your clothes and a strong fan in case you get warm. We loved it!

I booked a stay for my daughter's college tour. When we arrived we were greeted by a very friendly orange kitty. The property was beautifully maintained and the room was clean and comfortable. There was a card from the housekeeper which was a nice touch. We chose this room for the hot tub access and it was the highlight of our stay. 100% would stay again.

I loved my stay here! The space was immaculately clean. The grounds are gorgeous and it felt very private. As a solo female traveler, I felt very safe here. It was well lit at night when my dogs needed to go out. Everything is labeled well and it was easy to find. I got to meet the owner as well as the housekeeper and both were so genuine and friendly! This is an excellent and super-affordable stay. It only minutes away from town, but felt like it was in the woods, as it was so quiet and serene. Highly recommend!

Cabin was welcoming, comforting and relaxing. I appreciated all the little details the owners took to make my stay a happy one. Much nicer than any of the hotels I stayed in.

A quaint small room stay at the most affordable price in Huntington. The host (Ric) was super friendly and communicative on parking, entry, and what's nearby. He was even generous enough to offer us a ride into town to watch the football game when it was mentioned that we had planned on calling an Uber. Bed was comfortable, bedroom and bathroom was clean and spacious. The only criticism I can offer is that the room did not have a thermostat to control temperature even though the room was comfortable to my standard. My wife is going through the "change" and subject to hot flashes and wanted it cooler. There are a couple of fans in the room that she was able to turn on. There was also a space heater for I imagine would be needed in the colder months. The biggest critique though would be the room layout. The front door opens directly into the bathroom. If you happen to be sitting on the toilet or just stepping out of the shower when the front door is opened, you would have great views out onto the front porch and front parking areas and vice versa. Although there's not a big risk of someone peeking in, it still is kind of awkward. The bathroom is spacious enough where some kind of partition or wall could be set-up or installed to shield the front door views. All in all, I would recommend and would stay here again if I were passing through this area.

We spent 2 nights here in suite C as a home base for our Hatfield and McCoy tour. We weren't expecting anything other than an inexpensive place to sleep but boy were we blown away when we got there! First off, Ric (the owner) is a great host - very friendly and kept us informed, in great detail, about directions, parking and entry instructions. The room is small, but the deck, jacuzzi and other outdoor accommodations were awesome. Very clean and comfortable. We spent most of our time outside enjoying the evenings. We will absolutely stay with Rick again next time we're down this way. A++++
