Everything was great. I do wish where to check in was a bit more clarified. I do plan on coming back down for a more relaxing trip instead of just a place to sleep. Such a quaint place!!

Lone Star RV Park and Lodge was an excellent place to stay on our recent visit to Palo Pinto Mountains State Park. We stayed in one of the lodge cabins and loved the spaciousness and in-room access to a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. The rooms were clean, comfy, and stocked with the necessities for our stay. The staff for the lodge and Gulf Burgers were super friendly and helpful, and we loved our time at the awesome outdoor pool, our burgers and brisket right on site, and listening to live music. Highly recommend this spot to others passing through or staying in the area for several days.

If you don’t book direct with the property and find out what cabin you are staying in, you better call ahead. Showing up after 6pm could leave you wandering trying to negotiate an undocumented process of finding out where you are supposed to stay

Stayed out here when we were turkey hunting. It’s a really cool place. The cabins are really nice, very clean, and bigger than I was expecting. There is a bar at the front that is a really cool atmosphere & the burger was really good. This will be where we stay from now on when we are in the area.

The cabin was spacious and homey and located just off the highway. It was clean and fully stocked with everything necessary. Communication was excellent both via text and in person. There is a common building where a burger restaurant was being built (it’s now open). There is also a pool that looked amazing but it was too cold to enjoy when we stayed. Very unique property with a Route 66 vibe. I would definitely stay again and highly recommend.

The lodge is terrific. David and his team have done an amazing job in resurrecting this landmark business outside Ranger. I’ll be back soon!

Great Stay With a True Texas Vibe! We had a wonderful stay at The Lone Ranger RV Park & Lodge in Ranger, Texas. The property was very clean, well-kept, and had a cool vintage atmosphere, especially knowing the original lodge was built in the 1930s. It really adds to the charm of the place. The staff was friendly and helpful, making check-in and our entire visit easy and enjoyable. A bonus highlight of the trip was driving about 10 minutes to Mary’s in Strawn for their famous Chicken Fried Steak from the Texas Bucket List—it absolutely lived up to the hype! Overall, a great stay and we’d definitely come back. Perfect spot if you’re passing through or looking for a relaxing, authentic Texas experience.
