The location can be really hard to describe. We visited during the off season, and it was quiet. It didn't appear to be cluttered but still used. I was constantly seeing them cleaning. When there are more people, perhaps the atmosphere is different. The staff invited us to dinner and cooked for us, which was wonderful despite being one of the only three guests. It was interesting to get to know the people and learn more about CAFADE. The food was great, and getting to know the people and learning more about the town was fascinating. The personnel were also always friendly and instructed us where to go and how to best tour the town. Staying at Lo de Chichi is the only thing I didn't enjoy. There was little variety and apparently, people didn't even use dishes. That was a little strange. Overall, it was a comfortable stay, which is likely much better in the summer.

The hotel is in the 2 quadrants of the main square, making it convenient to stroll while also being really quiet at night. The place is clean and comfortable. Tony welcomes me very warmly, and is always eager to give me information and tips. Laundry is available for free and the kitchen access is very simple.

I have a wonderful time at Lo de chichi. Luis was very welcoming and promptly gave me a list of everything I could do while in Cafayate. The hostel is a great place to unwind after a day of sightseeing or a night at a bodega. The four-bed dormitory has spacious rooms with just single beds and no bunk beds. The mattresses were comfortable and although there was no bed. We could leave the window open at night due to a mozzie net covering it. Breakfast includes hot drinks and some good fresh bread with butter, jam, and dulce de leche, served at the lovely table in the garden under the shade of a grapevine. There are also hammocks to relax in. I occasionally had to wait to shower, but the water pressure was high and it was always hot. The kitchen is small, but it has everything you need. Nothing negative to say about this hostel, just a huge thank you to luis for making my stay so pleasant and being so helpful in planning my next stop.

Loved this hostel! Staff were amazing and welcoming, and everyone went out together to live music and dance. The room had fans to keep it cool, and some hammocks to sit in and relax in the lovely garden. Was a very quiet hostel when I was there, but was a great choice for the lovely town! And kill the puppy is very cute!.
