As noted in the reviews and photos, this hotel has a small number of rooms. The check-in and check-out procedures went without a hitch. We got a king bed, a spa, a verandah, and the ability to hear birdsong from outside. The only drawback is that we had to miss the window that needed to be fixed during the day at about 10 in the morning so that as sleepers our room was not serviced for three days because it was clean, cozy, and lovely.

I only stayed one night at the motel, and I thought it was fantastic. The room was spotless and soundproof from the other rooms. Or maybe other guests were quiet. I had a spacious and nicely equipped balcony room. A coffee maker and coffee pods were a wonderful touch. Not those awful little sachets of stale instant coffee. The motel is in the lovely little village of firewood, which has its own treasures but has quick access to many Adelaide hills attractions. Beats staying in the city.

The rooms here were very spacious and well designed. The hosts here were very attentive and courteous, especially with the ambiance inside. The location of this hotel is very close to the firewood mill and across the street, and we really enjoy our stay in this peaceful sanctuary.

We would recommend this motel, however. The room was very clean, comfortable, and of a very good size with a balcony. The bed was the best weve ever stayed in a motel. The kitchenette was fully equipped with tea and coffee making equipment. The spa bath was luxurious and had complimentary toiletries and even bath salts. The motel was very quiet. The only thing I could say was that the shower wasnt very powerful.

I highly recommend staying at the Firewood motel because of its excellent nights' sleep. I stayed at the Birdwoods Motel hoping to secure a room at the last minute, however, we were only minutes away and nothing was too much trouble. We were able to secure a place but also a five-star hotel in Australia for a motel charge. The rooms are large and have a little kitchenette inside if you want to cook or heat your own breakfast. But just across the street is a welcoming motel with cold beers and a variety of delicious meals.
