Very nice and comfortable place to stay Central location at a great price. Room was cosy, had a small fridge and Tv. Room was very clean with fresh linen and towel and soap was also provided. Will definitely be going back to stay again in the future.

5 Stars all round, please understand you do need to rate based on what you pay. This was under $100 per night, at this rate all I expect is a room with a bed. So when you get TV, Bar Fridge, shared kitchen facilities, a downstairs restaurant and bar, free parking and the most helpful and friendly staff in the central west, the Castlereagh Hotel is an absolute banger. 110% Recomend

Its a room above a centrally located pub. It's old, but relatively clean. We stayed in a room with a guarantee, a double queen and two singles, which had to, a small bar fridge, kettle, aircorn, and included free cereal and milk for breakfast. Some rooms lead to a beautiful exterior balcony, but this one had a window overlooking a car park. It's fine, but for 3 people it was about $ 130, roughly the same as some of the less expensive motels. The restaurant serves decent food, and the pub was nice enough.

When booking a room for $60, I think you're confident of choosing a place to stay. Nothing exudes a straightforward set of simple conveniences. This is exactly what I got at the Castlereagh Hotel. My room was a little tiny, but had a bed, refrigerator, cupboard, to and air conditioning, as well as a bathroom and toilet. Also, it had a musty odor that lasted the entire duration of my stay that could be from a variety of causes I won't describe. The advantage of this lodging is that there is a cheap price, an onsite dining option, free, secure parking, and continental breakfast are all provided. The rooms were conveniently situated and no bar noise was detected. The disadvantages of this lodging are that the facilities are dated, which is not surprising given how old the place is because the shower water is run out from the city center. Trucks were present all night long, there was vehicle noise in the shower. There was no elevator that I could see, and access to the floors was via stairs. Since the hotel provides lodging at the lower end of the price range, I think most people booked rooms are happy to accept the few drawbacks in exchange for the pros and the price.

When booking a room for $60 I believe it's clear what kind of accommodation you will receive. Nothing too flash simple set up simple features. This is exactly what I got at the Castlereagh hotel. My room was small, but had a bed, fridge, cupboard, to and air conditioning, as well as an ensure with a shower and toilet. It also came with an unpleasant odor that stayed throughout my stay musty smells that could be from any number of causes that I won't recommend. The advantages of this accommodation are cheap price, onsite dining options, free secure car parking, and a continental breakfast is included staff is friendly it's in the dumbo town centre room was well situated and no noise from the bar was detected. The disadvantages of this accommodation are outdated not surprising given it's unusual set up in the ensure water runs off from the shower being in the town centre there were truck noises especially all night long, no elevator that I could see, so access to the floors was through stairs. As hotel offers accommodations at the lower end of the price range, I believe most people booking rooms are happy to accept the few disadvantages in return for the pros and the price.
