Pet friendly hotel. Welcoming staff and very helpful. Loved the outdoor elevated patio overlooking the water. Restaurants close by. Stayed one night, but would stay again.

First off, if you're expecting luxury accommodations here, you're in the wrong place. But if you're looking for a clean, courteous, and sometimes quirky little place at a good price, the Hotel Martin should suit you fine. Rooms are modest, but comfortable and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. And the patio is a great place to spend an afternoon overlooking Corozal Bay. It's an easy walk to shops and restaurants, at the town is very friendly. And Dakota the hotel dog will sit quietly at your feet, wanting occasional belly rubs. Overall, a great value for the money.

Great air conditioning and water pressure. Could use a larger hot water tank, sometimes had a cold shower. Staff were fantastic. Location was great.

Great setting right on the bay and close to the center of Corozal. Staff it's friendly and helpful. The accommodations are basic but clean and affordable. Best is the porch overlooking the bay with a great hammock.

Incredible staff! “Slim” picked up take out food for me while he was getting some for his family. Alejandra taught me so much about Belizean culture, and Steve, the manager recommended things to do, arranged a massage for me, drove me to places and picked me up when there were no taxis available and a couple of times just because he wanted to! They were simply amazing!

We loved it here. Great location right across from the sea. Nice room with a shower that worked well. Good AC, great mattress and sheets. Excellent helpful and non obtrusive staff. We will stay there again. Top marks!

Hotel vraiment bien situé au centre ville et au bord de la baie. Le personnel est tres agreable. Hotel avec des installations vieillissantes qui meriteraient d’être rénovées.

Good employees work there. It is an older building. They keep an eye on things. You get what you pay for.

Pieni hotelli rannalla, ystävällinen henkilökunta, tarjolla kahvia ja teetä. Yhteiskäyttö jääkaappi. Ei aamupalaa. Sänky narisi aikalailla

Martin Hotel, Its price for value, the cheapest place in Corozal, with very limited service , enough to sleep 1 night and run away

Staff was nice, had a great dog as a mascot. She was a sweatheart. Room wise, the only thing you can count on is a bed to sleep on, could upgrade or work on a lot of things. Tons of dogs bark between 4 and 6am every morning in the neighborhood so it has a built in alarm clock. Price was high for what it was but when in corazol. The town in general does not give a lot to be desired. The one thing i did appreciate and enjoy was Rudys coffee shop. Las villitas i believe. Great cappuccino and company. His wife made breakfast that hit the spot. Its up on his balcony with a view of the water.

We could not stay at Hotel Martin. The room was completely unacceptable. It was dirty, stuffy and sweltering hot. The AC did not work and I have a medical condition which requires me to stay cool. To make matters worse, the door lock on our room also did not work properly and my partner got locked in the room, unable to leave until we entered the room from a hidden side door. Yikes! The manager was not on site and not answering their phone, Thankfully someone else tried to assist us and get us a different room but that was even worse than the first. The AC in the new room still didn't work and worse, it smelled like old cigarettes, weed and destroyed dreams. While we saw the other negative reviews we just thought they weren't that bad, the hotel was maybe a little run-down but could still be good, WE WERE WRONG. Hotel Martin has just been left to decay. There still has been no communication or refund for this atrocity of a hotel. Lesson learned. Thankfully we were able to find an available room at a nearby hotel with better reviews. That really saved our trip! Save yourself (and your soul) the same pain and skip Hotel Martin. Book ANYWHERE ELSE, so you can actually enjoy your stay in Corozal. The one thing they didn't lie about was the view. It is right on the ocean with stairs going right down to the water. Of course, you can stay elsewhere and take those same stairs...
