From the time we arrived, the staff was absolutely wonderful. The villa was spacious and the beach front view was beautiful. The location was nice. I do recommend to rent a golf cart, but all this can be arranged to be dropped off for you. They helped with anything that was on our minds.

Very friendly and helpful staff. I requested a 2 hrs early check in due to some circumstances, they handled it with no problem and without a fee! That was unexpected! Highly recommended Resort

My family had a wonderful stay at The resort, it was supposed to rain but we had beautiful weather, great breezes and the pool is very refreshing and nice. The staff was a very accommodating when we got there early and gave us early check in. Thank you so much Umaya!

Beautiful and well kept grounds/beach /facilities. Very nice and helpful staff. Clean and comfortable rooms. One suggestion: all 4 pillows were very high, perhaps have a couple of lower ones????. Overall a wonderful stay.

Our flight was delayed by several hours so we arrived to the resort just before the restaurant closed. My family hadn't eaten since breakfast and when we asked about the restaurant squeezing us in before close, they graciously agreed. The team was incredibly kind and helpful. The staff we spoke to that evening remembered us by name the next morning. They went out of their way to make sure our family enjoyed our short time at the resort. We would love to come back and visit again and highly recommend this property!

You can choose an ocean view for more waves and boats passing and amazing custom pizza choices, and pools with a pool-side bar, or you can choose a laguna view for more calm and greater peace and more variety at the restaurant on that side. Well shaded, well lighted, still much privacy and grassy sunshine and flowers. What a beautiful place!

The rooms and beds were wonderful and clean. The pizza place was good. We ordered one meal from the lobby bar and that wasn't the best. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We didn't realize how far the property was from shopping areas or more active places. This is a place for peace, quiet and limited food options. We took a trip to the grocery store and made breakfast everyday which we enjoyed. We were also unable to swim in the Ocean due to so much algae. I was unable to find any good fish options in this particular area.

We spent 5 nights in a two bedroom Beachfront Villa. Our expectations were definitely exceeded. We had our own little beachfront house! The Villa was spacious and the living room so comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and we appreciated the great coffee that was provided. There were two hammocks on our front porch that were used to read and look at the ocean. There was a smaller pool right in front of our Villa with a covered deck area, perfect for getting out of the sun and looking at the ocean. Our kids loved the main pool and we enjoyed the ocean just steps from the pool. We had a vehicle rented and we drove into the town of Placencia every day. We liked staying just outside of the town and the drive in was easy. While we did some shopping in the town, there was a fantastic fruit and veggie stand a minute walk from this resort and a grocery store just a few minutes drive away. We ate pizza at the resort and really enjoyed it. We found other restaurants that were close by that were also delicious. The sunrises were incredible to watch from the beach. We loved this resort and would absolutely stay here again.

Umaya is a beautiful resort with everything we needed. Bedrooms, full kitchen, large living room and could walk right out to the beach. They had a lovely pool with swim up bar and a nice restaurant across the street. It was close to restaurants and bars but we did need to drive to them as the road is busy and no sidewalks. Would stay here again.

Spacious 2 Bedroom unit. Was on a ground floor which we were initially disappointed with, but the advantage of stepping directly out to the pool compensated for that. Items of note - the oven is disabled on the stove/oven - disappointing to reheat their great pizza in a microwave, but expect it is a safety/fire concern. Beach and pool area was well maintained - definitely glad we chose the ocean side of the resort. Would definitely return!

Our group of two couples spent a week in a villa on the beach side of the Umaya Resort and absolutely loved it. The unit was nicely appointed and truthfully feet away from the Caribbean Sea. Anytime we had a concern they were very prompt to respond. They transferred us to and from the Placencia Airport free of charge. While there we ordered dinner through the Fyah Beach Bar, pizza at Don Tonito's and breakfast in their Casa de Maiz restaurant. All were very delicious food. We also booked two of our excursions through them with great communication from them. The only thing we would recommend for them to make improvements on would be to provide dish cloths, towels and pot holders in the kitchen. We will absolutely book our next Belize vacation at the Umaya Beach Resort!
