The st. Clair hostel is a true maritime delight! Its decor, which evokes resemblance of an old ship, adds unique charm. The receptionists excellent service and warmth make it stand out. It perfectly complements the nautical theme. A special thanks to Welton, one of the reception staff, for her attentiveness and numerous recommendations that truly enhanced the Vancouver experience. Staying at stanley cairn offers utmost comfort and maritime nostalgia.

The next time i visit canada, ill undoubtedly stay here again. Its a budget option (the cheapest one ive discovered), but the staff was extremely friendly, and the sinks, toilets unduly cleaned were all wellmaintained. Other commentators mention dust and mold, although despite some dust in the corners and some mold on the ceiling above one of the showers clearly caused by condensation, it wasnt significant. I brought earplugs which if you are familiar with downtown old buildings, would recommend. Excellent location.

Overall, it was a pleasant stay in san rosario. This place is an affordable choice for lodging in downtown vancouver. With three friends, i stayed in the dorm with four people. There are no places to store your belongings in this room, so if ive not been with friends or in another room like this, im not sure ill have liked it. The personnel were friendly and accommodating. They accommodated my request for an afterhours stay and gave me instructions on how to get in. Just to clarify, this is not like eu hostels such as ones in other parts of the world, but it serves the same purpose as relocating. I was aware of what to anticipate and not anticipate because all the material on their website was straightforward. Each floor has tv, some dishes, and ice makers for storage. Although they creak frequently when he switched positions, the beds were fairly cozy. Bathrooms were fine, they are cleaned once or twice yearly. Because there were places where you could hang your stuff in each shower and curtains to keep your items from getting wet while you take hoses while taking puddles, that was something hygienic. However, water didnt drain very well, though. Bring shower shoes to protect your feet! The wifi functioned flawlessly.

This is a clean place. The location is good, although it seems teeming hazy at night. Staff are very polite and helpful. If youre on saturday, this is your place to stay. In the summer, the top floor gets chilly. I would definitely stay here again.

The hostel was excellent, it was immaculate and i appreciated how it had been decorated. The location was unquestionably the best part, you could walk anywhere downtown in 10 minutes it felt ideal. You dont have to go out to eat frequently because the front desk staff is incredibly helpful and even has a microwave, dishes, and fridge that you can share.

This place is in the middle of downtown, and its a charming old building. The staff is friendly and accommodating, most significantly, it is half the price of nearby hotels. There are some stains in corners, so the showers could benefit from undergoing resealing, but thats not unpleasant or anything. Daily cleaning is performed on the toilets, while the sheets were clean. A desk and sink are located in each room. While we were there, the hosts made sure we had tv for our room because it was hot outside. You can expect i have stayed in hospitable hostelstyle experiences, youll be pleased.

Ive been staying at this hostel for years. Yes, it is really hot in the summer and the showers are quite gnarly, but for the location, the amazing staff, and price (compared to other places in Vancouver), st. Claire is a great place to stay if you are in town for upcoming shows. Thank you!.

I would return. The price and location are fantastic. Even with the window open, the air in the rooms became quite stale, and it was hot and old. But for the money, its not a problem for me. It was peaceful and pleasant the night before. Although it had some homeless people trying to follow us in at night, it wasnt terribly dark outside, so you couldnt anticipate anything less from downtown vancouver.

The hostel was fairly clean and the staff was friendly. Due to the location and being a heritage building, it is quite noisy, but bring earplugs and youll be fine. The bed was awful, which is the reason my rating is so low. I am aware that this is primarily i have stayed in many hostels, and ive been there before, however, my only expectation is that the bed at least be comfortable. Although ill admit that it may be dated, if he didnt look closely, im guessing it was older than mr. By looking at the mattress, you could see where it caves in without anyone else standing on the beds edge. Its ideally situated. When we got off the sky train, getting to everything we needed was really simple and it wasnt difficult to find.

We recently stayed there over the last weekend. A clean and reasonably priced hostel, i would stay there again. The staff are quite friendly and welcoming. Great location, right in the middle of downtown. Easy and quick access to many restaurants and transit.

The rooms are cozy and immaculate. Excellent location. I arrived in the middle of the night due to a significant delay in my flight (reception closed). The staff was very proactive and alerted me to this and sent me ten instructions on how to get into the hostel and rooms. Despite my chaotic journey, getting into my room was incredibly easy. I would suggest this hotel for the price. We spent three nights at this motel. I adore the nauticalthemed, centuryold historic structure. The private room was cozy and offered a lovely outlook. There isnt sytafe or table in the space. Just i have lone drawer. Although there is primarily sanitary water in each room, there are private sinks inside. However, dont anticipate meeting people here. This is the kind of hotel hostel where you simply come and sleep. While the showers could use some cleaning, the washrooms were generally clean.

We stayed here for the weekend, on friday and saturday night. When we arrived early on Friday, the staff was willing to hold our bags while we went out for lunch before the room was ready for checkin. It may be customary, but it was nice not to have to deal with all of that. Our room is on the third floor overlooking Richards street, so it is a bit noisy all day and all night long. The bed was firm and the pillows werent great, however, it wasnt i dont mind. We were out most of the day by the time we came back so noise and pillows didnt really matter to us. Coffee and tea are provided in the morning. They have showers and toilets on all floors, as well as wc on every floor, microwave, tea kettle, and refrigerator. My room had its own sink, which was good. If you need some books to read, there are several take e book shelves. Also, they produced utensils with suggested meals at nearby restaurants, this was helpful when we needed lunch. Walking around admiring the paintings and old ships advertisement aswell as the stained glass windows was my favorite part. From what ive seen from the placard out front, building has history as being built by october first. Overall, if you want to stay here, you can get

I spent six days there and it was truly amazing. The price alone is a huge plus for this establishment, but the location is unbeatable, with gastown just ten minutes walk away. Its quite noisy at night, yet its in the heart of opulent cities what do you expect? Wear earplugs and youll be fine. For the price you pay, the showers as well as the restrooms were also very nice and clean. Would return.

The only drawback is that during the summer, the rooms become quite hot, making it uncomfortable for sleeping and being quite pricey for a hostel. However, other than that, i had countless enjoyable experiences! Fantastic hostel in downtown vancouver! The shared bathroom and private room were both spotless. The personnel were incredibly helpful and kind. Its wonderful to be able to explore so many parts of vandala lumpur on foot from the hostel itself. To reach the hotel and your accommodations, you must ascend some tight stairs.

Very cute hostel with clean rooms in the center and easy to get to and from. We didnt hear anything and were staying on Friday and Saturday nights, but it is an older building with creaky floors and a lack of noisedampening which might be an issue depending on other guests.

This is a great location for reducing costs and being close to everything. There are public showers and bathrooms available. Youll receive free coffee from noon until noon. The front door has hints that you should follow when making your reservation. If you arrive after 10 p. M., be sure to give me the number because i was almost stuck outside and hadnt received the email information. Fortunately, if ive shown all my email confirmation, someone passed by and got me inside. Although the property requires maintenance, it is clean. Even though it gets quite hot during the summer, each room has fans. When you have dozens of friends, this is the best option.

The location is excellent. Its more of a hostel, and the bathrooms and showers are shared. For the price, it was advisable, but do not anticipate reserving idy 3star hotels with air conditioning. You can freehold your luggage for varying duration.
