Good hostel, very helpful staff, clean rooms. I stayed in private rooms. Small but adequate. We had a spacious room on the ground floor with showers which was convenient. Showers and toilets are very clean. Always cleaned. Booking the Cheng Panda tour here which was great. 5 of us in car. The tour guide obtained tickets. He took us past the entry line and weaved his way through the numerous pathways that led to the panda enclosures saving a lot of time. took us to different locations then left us to wander at his own pace, which was also very good, so we didn't have to move as one in a tour group as you see often. The hostel has a chillout area and a small outside area if you smoke. Good cuisine options are available throughout the day. We only had breakfast, which was ok, especially if you wanted something western before leaving for the day and eating Chinese afterwards.

It is close to the metro and a shopping mall with restaurants. When we arrived, there was lulu at the reception desk. She is so sweet and speaks great English. She gave us maps and offered fun activities to do. They offer free activities at the hostel, as well as excellent tours. We made two reservations, and Lillu was interested to see how it went afterward. The facilities are pleasant and affordable, and the rooms and food are spotless.

I like this hostel, it had a real hostel vibe. They help you with sightseeing and guide you around the city. Also, they organize a lot of events in the evening to meet other travelers. i really like the Hot Pot party.

Anyone visiting Cheng should consider staying in a hostel rather than a hotel because they won't mind being at a hostel than a hotel. While the hostel is north of the city centre, it is close enough that visiting the city center does not feel an issue. The staff speaks excellent English and is attentive to customer service. They are accustomed to having western visitors and are very accommodating. The sheets and rooms were spotless. The check-in process was the best I have ever had, better than any luxurious hotel I have stayed at. I came with my wife early and was looking for local sights and experiences such as Sechuan food and pandas. The city map they provide us first, which is fairly standard. Then, they provide us a handdrawn map of the neighborhood with recommended restaurants and other required information such as atms, pharmacies, subway stops, and such. Amazing! After that, they provide us a menu of activities which includes those that the hostel carries out, such as visiting the panda center, hiking, eating tours, and cooking classes. We made reservations for the hotel room the next night, and we had a booking for the hotpot night, dumpling night, and the Mahjong class, which was held by the axis, the unemployed maidens who spoke no English, the best part of it all. They demonstrated how to manipulate and arrange the tiles

The bathroom was not so clean and quiet with separate toilets from the showers which was much better compared to other hostels we have stayed in China. It's not wet room style which is much better than other hostels we have stayed in china. They said the kitchen was open on our first evening when it was actually closed, so after a long day of travel, we decided to order from the menu and were informed less than 5 minutes later that it was actually closed. The hotel was cozy, calm, and cheap. Despite all the problems we had, the receptionist was very nice.
