Staff were very polite and helpful. The triple room was very good size for three adults - only negative for the room would be the curtains were too light and the room wasn’t very dark. Quiet hotel, didn’t hear other guests. Excellent location for the train station, metro or even walking into the city centre.

The hotel is only 75 metres from a metro stop, with underground access to the full metro and regional/national train systems. A very quiet outdoor area and a wide selection of reasonably priced breakfast food. A very short walk to Tivoli Gardens (6 minutes), or to canal boat rides and is located near to numerous bars, grills, entertainment venues and quality restaurants.

Stayed here in mid April for 3 nights to begin my vacation in Denmark. Taking the train from CPH to Copenhagen Central station, the hotel was about a 10 minute walk away. Very easy to find. I arrived at 7am after a red eye flight from the US. The reception is available 24/7 and I was able to store my luggage before check in for a fee of about $15 USD (but in local currency DKK). With great relief I dropped off my luggage used my own lock and went to tour the city. Hotel Ansgar is clean, receptionist were all friendly, welcoming, a wonderful resource, and the rooms were clean. Breakfast buffet was amazing and totally worth the 129DKK ($20 USD). I believe this breakfast fee is for my entire stay and no per day. The hotel itself has many stairs to the elevator at every level except the top floor (heard from another guest). Its like 8 stairs up to elevator from reception and then another 8 stairs up after elevator to room. The rooms itself were very clean, had window, desk, open closet, and a private bathroom. I was very pleased. Just enough space. There was room under the bed to store my large suitcase. The room offered a small mini fridge (very small compared to the states and not as cool barely cool enough to refridgeorate food - think drinks). No microwave, a kettle with complimentary coffee and black tea with cream and sugar. One weird thing I have never seen before that seems common in Denmark is that once you use the hotel key card to enter into room to use the l

Hyggelig betjening, rene rom, god seng. Litt merkelig innredning på kjøleskapet. Var ikke mye vi fikk plass til. Perfekt beliggenhet, kun 5-10 min gange fra København Hovedbanegård. Mange koselige kafeer, barer og restauranter i Istedgade og Værnedamsvej. Hotellet lå i gangavstand til det meste.

If you don't mind a small (really small) room, this hotel is located minutes away from the Central Train station, which is very convenient. If you are visiting Tivoli, this is your hotel. You can walk to the park; and the breakfast was surprisingly good, with many options, including scrambled eggs and bacon.

Good location, you need to walk up 1 floor to the elevator and down 1 floor to enter you right floor with room. Elevator stops halfway between the floors. Good to knowing you have a disability… I didn’t know…
