Doesn't look much from the outside, butt once you get in the resort it's great, staff are wonderful, food was great, big menu, too much too choose from, Rooms are good, beds are comfy, Sunsets are amazing here, nothing to complain about.

Such welcoming and friendly staff who all say a warm Welcome Home” when they first meet you. Spacious and and well equipped room. I appreciated having our own pool. Dinner was good and the entertainment first rate.

If you aren't looking for luxury, First Landing is a good choice. The property is large with a variety of room types - our studio-style bure was not fancy but the room was spacious and airy, the bed comfortable and the shower hot. While the resort is slightly on the shabby side and could benefit from a bit of polish throughout, it is absolutely clean and respectable and we felt it was good value. It doesn't have much of a beach...there is access to beach frontage that is good for walking, but it is fairly narrow with only a couple of loungers and it gives onto a shelf-like reef that is exposed twice a day at low tide so ocean swimming is not really practical. It also has access via a bridge to a man-made islet called the "Left Foot" that is pleasant to walk around, especially at sunset, and there are kayaks to rent. The pool is large with a variety of shade and sun. With many families, mainly from New Zealand and Australia (given it is only a 3 hour flight from Auckland and 4 hours from Sydney), expect kids in the pool and an assortment of kid-noises until bedtime. We experienced a few minor operational anomalies that one simply has to accept (e.g. an apparent rule against having more than one bath towel per room occupant at a time!). However, the staff is incredibly friendly, personable and helpful - they are clearly happy in their jobs and are never at a loss to say "bula" with a smile. And the food is uniformly excellent (expecially the Indian dishes).

Staff is amazing, so helpful and friendly. Go out of their way to make us feel welcome. Ocean swimming isn’t great because it’s shallow and tide was out during the day. Lifted between Lautoka and Nady so can required.

We absolutely loved everything about our stay at First Landing! I booked it last-minute based on the great reviews, and I am so glad I did. For the price, I honestly didn't expect it to be this good. The four of us loved the laid-back vibe, the pool, the bar, the food and the activities. The resort is nestled in around lots of plants and trees making it a calming oasis with such a chilled vibe. They have a great happy hour, and the continental breakfast was great with all the usual options but also hotcakes, croissants, and Danishes. Plus, it was super easy to add items from the cooked menu if you wanted a bigger breakfast. The snorkeling right out front was much better than expected for the mainland, even at low tide. You can grab a kayak, paddle out to the edge of the reef, tie it up, and dive in - there is so much to see! The evening entertainment was also fun, we loved the crab racing and especially the warrior show where they got everyone involved. The Marina is a 10 min walk, a lovely spot for sunset and Boatshed for bar/restaurant, a little shop and ATM. The absolute best part was the staff. They could not do enough for us and made us feel right at home. We stayed at Plantation Island right after this, and while we loved it there too, the boys still talk more about the First Landing crew. A huge shout-out to Jerry for being an absolute legend! If you are thinking about booking this place, just do it. You won't regret it!

Very helpful staff (they upgraded and moved us when there were issues with noisy guests next door.) Facilities in the villa are nice and worth the money. Our upgraded one bedroom villa had its own pool. Location is good, just a short 15 minute drive or so from Nadi airport. It is set out in its own, but I liked that given I just wanted to stay put and chill out for the last four days of our Fiji trip. The food at the hotel waa also really good and I thought well priced. Compared to many other places on the other side of Nadi (Denerau etc.), the nightly rate was good also. I would stay here again if just wanting a chill out place for three or four nights. The staff put out on a great show a couple of nights a week which charts the journey of the original Fijian people from Tanzania, across SE Asia and eventually to the Fijian islands, which I think started about 5,000 years ago. (I learnt something as I didn’t know the Fijian people and likely others from Melanesia) originated directly from Africa in such relatively recent times. The hotel name ‘First Landing’ is actually the first place in Fiji where these migrating groups landed thousands of years ago and has nothing to do with colonisation by the British a mere two hundred years back. The shows are free and the guys performing in them, work across a number of different roles and departments at the resort. Worth staying just here for the history and culture that is imparted.

This hotel looks like it’s going to be quite a “rustic” looking hotel until you move out of the car park area and walk along the passage to reception. The hotel consists of garden rooms and villas dotted along the coast line and has very good views. The pool area is screened off by palm trees and greenery. The rooms are spacious and the villas have their own plunge pools. The bar and restaurant areas are good with plenty of seating and the food is good.

We were just there 4 days and paid extra at the rime of our reservation for cooked breakfast. Every meal was exceptional with ample portions. We also had access to continental breakfast items which was all exceptional

This is the ultimate Fijian experience. Away from Western style resorts this was Fijian in appearance and relationships. Staff are genuinely friendly. The buildings are covered by lush trees and gardens. It's the ultimate kick back and relax resort where you can just laze by the pool. Dinners at night were under a canopy of clear skies and fairy lights on sand outside. Breakfast was generous and varied. Eating there was cheap cheap cheap. The only downside is the flies at the pool and mosquitoes so bring the Aerogard.

Awesome, friendly and accommodating staff. Great affordable food and drinks with a great selection of both. Good breakfast selection (continental and off the menu cooked breakfast). Lovely, well kept, established gardens with a great pool and surrounding area. A very authentic Fijian experience and would highly recommend if that's what you're after. The rooms/accommodation, whilst not 5* are very spacious and clean with air-conditioning and fans. Daily room service was impeccable. Perfect for an intimate or large celebration with a perfect function room and private outdoor area. Would definitely stay there again.

We stayed here for three days at a villa. Our own pool was so luxurious. The privacy was great. Washing machine on site was a bonus. Food was good. Entertainment at night was so memorable. Sunset boat trip. Free use of snorkeling equipment to look at the reef just offshore. Attentive staff. No complaints. Great massage and complementary foot massage
