We stayed in a smaller 43-sq-meter apartment in rukatonttu. The advertising claims it's suited to a small family. Believe this. We were just two adults, so the location was ok, but it wouldn't work for 4 or even 3 adults. One or two kids might be fine. However, the apartment has everything, including a sauna, two toilets, a kitchen, a dinner table, and a tiny couch, as well as two bedrooms, one of which only fits a bunk bed. There is also a drying cabinet, ski storage outdoors, and a balcony. The lack of soundproofing is a major drawback. You can hear everything from above, below, and next door, which can be a little embarrassing or downright annoying, like barking dogs. But the location is unbeatable, you can hop onto your skis literally from outside your door and go downhill or crosscountry. Escalators will go up, and the Luka Village is 500 meters away. Customer service at Rukatonttu is excellent and friendly.

We spent a long weekend in Rukatonttu in early February. Rukatonttu is only a 5-minute walk from the Lukas center, which has all eateries and services. You can either stay in a hotel or an apartment in the peaceful location by the lake. We had a very nice, clean and comfortable hotel room in the basement with an entrance practically out over the lake. Outside, you may also swim in the lake all year long yes, it's chilly. The closest lift is only about 50 meters from the hotel if you ski, and if you are interested in nordic skiing, you can do it on the lake. We will undoubtedly return. The lovely staff run by the very owner Matt is something to be commended.

Overall, a pleasant, hassle-free vacation. We stayed in the hotel but changed to an apartment in January 2016. The hotel is incredibly pleasant. Twin beds, a hairdryer. There is a drying box for damp clothing. The shower room has under-floor heating. There was no shower gel or shampoo. The only criticism is that the room was too hot. Because there was no kettle in the room, we had to request one. The apartment had two twinned bedrooms in it. The lobby contains a coat cupboard and a drying cupboard also. The shower room has floor heating, a toilet, and a sauna. There was also a separate toilet. Six chairs and a table and chairs. I didn't use the log fire because the apartment was again too hot. Would say that if the log burner's top damper is pulled out. It let in a lot of heat. All of the apartments appear to have a balcony and there is a laundromat in the basement. Everything you need for self-catering is there. Our package included a restaurant breakfast. Breakfast is a shared room. Breakfast is typical, including cereal, hot and cold food, tea, coffee, and squash. There is a selection of hot and freshly cooked snacks for lunch. One of which Matt prepared planned smoked fish.. incredibly delicious! The escalator that leads

We wanted an apartment so we could go as we wanted and relax in the evening. We booked the apartment through tui and were very satisfied. We were a family of 3 and said the accommodation could comfortably accommodate a family of 4 2 adults 2 children. The advantage of the apartment was that it had its own sauna which my husband used a lot. We had a lovely living and dining area where we cooked some meals using the facilities provided. The main bedroom is compact but comfortable and has good closet space. The other bedroom is relatively small with bunk beds the stairs are steep but have high sides so no chance a little one fell out. On booking it said a one bedroom apartment but it is two separate bedrooms the one with bunk beds is tiny. We also had a small balcony which was nice and a drying cabinet which was brilliant. Apartment was very well thought out and had a fireplace. The location was spot on, away from the town of Luka by only a 10 minute walk via shortcut and backed onto the lovely lake that was frozen and where we glimpsed the northern lights. The hotel restaurant next door was also very nice. Additionally, the apartment is run by a key code so you don't need to worry about looking for keys. Also, it is controlled by a key code so you don't need to worry about looking keys.

Luka is something like a ghost town in late august, with many luxurious ski chalets that are shut and deserted. But, even in this offseason low capacity, Luka onto the hotel is small enough to be comfortable. The beauty of its setting and cozy rooms are nothing compared to the excellent service of Matt, the manager, who is the most patient and helpful person we have met in a long time. He came back from the Karhunkierros expedition earlier than expected owing to a knee problem and helped us replay our trip and change reservations for our next destination. All of that he did with a constant smile and a genuine desire to help us and make us happy and relaxed. thank you Matt!.
